BTW - Whose body is that? Normally I could tell, but, those Storm Trooper gloves are throwing me off...

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

So who next? DM on Trish's body? Or the other way around?

Though I'm not sure I'll ever top the perfect fit I found with you on Jeter's body.

I've said that for YEARS!! You just never listened.

As big a Yankee fan as I am, I so want the Mets to win, for two reasons:

1. They're a NY team.
2. I am NOT a fan of St. Louis.
3. It would've made Plaw so happy.

OK, OK, that's 3 reasons, not 2. I didn't say I could count!

I hope Gina's okay - I heard there's wicked wet weather in Houston, including a tornado watch!

I just came from there this weekend... Dreary and wet pretty much all Sunday.

Having grown up in Houston, tornado watches are a dime a dozen. You don't have to worry until the "Warning" stage. With that said, I hope Gina (and my family, of course) are OK.

Thanks for the concern, guys - my family's more on a flood watch here than a tornado watch. We were flooded in 2001, and we've had nightmares ever since. The bayous are filled to the brim, and it's still raining on and off. It might end up being nothing, but if the water gets any higher, I'm going to start moving furniture.

CS, hope all is well with your family.

Sorry, DM - it's clear now...I hate deleting old ones!

Gina I'm glad you are doing well with the storm there.

SB I thought of you earlier this evening when I seen an episode of American Choppers. The guys were making a NY Yankee bike. I seen Jeter signing the gas tank along with the other Yanks.

By the way-- HEH-lo!

I told you he's looking better this season. Despite the stupid photographer who focused on Kobe and made Sash blurry. But still... the guy knows how to wear a suit, no?

Stupid photographer!! Doesn't he know that blurry Sasha is simply unacceptable?!

Sorry I missed that episode, Mig. They're factory is not too far from where I work, and you used to be able to drive past it and spot one of the guys outside (usually Mikey), but now that they've become so famous, they've turned into complete recluses, except for PAID appearances.

Love the pic, Zia - he's looking good.

I'm thinking athletes should start playing in suits...like Steve Martin's little league baseball team in My Blue Heaven.

Gina, I love that movie! The scene between Steve Martin and Carol Kane in the supermarket is just hilarious! Because you could melt all this stuff!!

After seeing the picture that you posted of Jeter in his suit, I'll vote for the all-suit rule!

It's one of my favorite movies, SB - my dad and I are always referring to it. Now I want to watch it!

I love when the whole Italian family meets Vinny at the airport and trick Barney...then the scene at the clothing store where Vinny sings New York, New York - "These lit-tle town blu-u-u-u-e-s...I'm melt-ing a-wa-a-y...."

The pet store scene - "You dirty rat...!!!"

And what's the difference between a pregnant woman and a lightbulb? You can unscrew a lightbulb...

I actually saw that movie for the first time in a long time about a month ago. It was just as hilarious as I remember it.

Well, big night for the Mets tonight. I really want them to beat St. Louis, so keep your fingers crossed. If they don't win tonight, it's all over until next year.

Can't you see we're still in baseball mode?

Oh, that's right...you wouldn't know. You're in limbo as a baseball fan. :p

Though I'm sure the one who was talking basketball before baseball even started would love to join - or has Zia done so already?

Zia hasn't joined yet and neither have you.

Would it help if I set a rule that only you can draft T-Mac? :p

I'm not in limbo. I know for a fact that the (insert team here) will win the World Series next year! :p

Edit: I'm not in limbo. I know for a fact that the Astros will win the World Series next year! :p

(So Gina will play basketball) :p

CS, you're breaking my heart.

How about I join your silly fantasy game if you insert "Astros" into that blank space?

(Along with the T-Mac deal...drafting him technically means "owning" him, right? )

This is directed at nobody in particular, since I no longer know any Cubs fans, but I found this funny...

Lou Piniella's First Big Move As Cubs Manager Is To Resign

October 19, 2006 | Onion Sports

CHICAGO—During his formal introduction as Cubs manager Tuesday, Lou Piniella announced that his first and only managerial decision will be to step down immediately and permanently from his new position—a bold, unexpected move that he successfully carried out just moments later. "My time in Chicago has been great, and it feels like it was just yesterday that I started this job, but I truly believe that this move will give me a better opportunity to win," Piniella said at the press conference while ceremoniously removing a Cubs hat and jersey. "I'm very excited about leaving this team." After the announcement, Cubs GM Jim Hendry praised Piniella's sound judgment and pure baseball instinct, saying that "his ability to make quick, smart decisions like this one is exactly why we hired him."
