I was so happy to see Edge win the title! I'm pissed RVD had to drop it but I was happy it went to Edge rather than Cena.

Seriously, though; I never liked Edge in the olden days, when I watched it. I would have never considered him champion material. Have his mic skills improved?

I think Edge's mic skills have improved tremendously since becoming a heel. The WWE are trying to mold him into the top heel on RAW...and they're doing a pretty job.

I was kind of flabbergasted last night, though. When Edge got the 3-count, the crowd gave a HUGE pop. I don't know if its because they were happy the WWE title was back on RAW...or if they were happy that ANYONE one except for Cena (I'm leaning towards the latter.)

The D-X stuff was pretty funny last night. The Melina and Trish segments stand out in my mind.

Man, John Cena....really, look at him. The WWE is doing their best to re-use the Rock mold, from the "wiseass tough guy" mic routine persona, to a quite familiar finishing move that roughly is quite like the "People's Elbow" (stand over smacked on the mat opponent, do some arm movement to which the crowds know what is gonna happen, then run back and forth on the ropes, and then DROP on the sucka!)

I did laugh when Edge demanded that they give him his T-shirts out in the lobby last week.

It makes sense to me...seeing as he and Sabu were arrested over the weekend for drug possession.

I'm guessing this is his punishment...don't be surprised if they're both suspended and required to seek professional help...or even fired.

The WWE is using a cover story...but its because of the drug charges.

Yeah they had it up on their website that Sabu and RVD got busted for drugs. I wasn't surprised at all to see RVD lose, just pissed. Is he only going to be gone for 30 days or is that just the cover story the WWE is giving?

I used to go to "insider" wrestling websites as well years ago (probably about a much as I go to this BB) but I got tired of them lying, plus this way they do anything is still a surprise to me

I missed RAW this week, so I didnt get a chance to see The Highlanders and was wondering how they looked? Im hoping they looked ok because raw has no tag divisionat the moment.

I wasn't that impressed with them myself, but it was only 1 match

The immortal Hulk Hogan will make an appearance at next week's Saturday Nights Main Event

So, I didn't want to start a new thread, and since this is wrestling related, I'm putting it here. And theres nuttin you can do to stop meh.

I met this guy earlier today:


Mike Jones, aka Virgil. He was at the mall, looking mightly lonely as a matter of fact, signing autographs and stuff. Nice guy. He practically quizzed me though. I saw "WWE Wrestler" and went over to the table... and he had a bunch of picture laid out.. He asked if we watched wrestling, I said I did. And I don't know, I guess I don't look like the type?

So he quizzed me on who was in the pictures, what their finishers were, and who my favorite wrestler was.

I named them all. Because I rule. Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Hulk Hogan (duh), the British Bulldog. All. I rule. His first comment to me before I proved myself to him was "I bet your favorite wrestler is John Cena, huh?"

To which I replied "Oh my god. No. I can't stand him. Maybe if he had more than 4 moves, he'd be decent. F-U, STFU, Five Knuckle Shuffle, and the occasional kick or punch. My favorite has to be the icon, the main event, the show stoppah, HBK."

I know I sounded like a dork. But I don't give two shits. Girls can watch wrestling too, dammit.

But yeah, that was my day.

ECW had a tv title but I'm guessing that was around 95/96/97

All they had was the World title and the tag titles after then?

Sweet bogey, nice job on meeting Mike Jones. What's he up to now anyways? I haven't jumped on the "I hate Cena bandwagon" but I'm glad RVD and Edge have won the title recently (and HHH hasn't had it in how many months now!?) My current favorite wrestlers (in no order) are:

Bogey, I wasn't necessarily implying you liked John Cena at all. I was just make a generalization. When I started to watch wrestling again weekly, Cena seemed to be loved by all. Since then, the crowd is about 50-50 and that's why I claim there's a "I hate Cena bandwagon" (not necessarily accusing you of such activities). Sorry for the confusion.

As for Mig, I still like John Cena, I hope I didn't come off as saying I hated him. I'm just glad the title is on someone else and someone I like more (a la Rob Van Dam, for however a short period of time it was). Now I'm glad to see Edge with it. I'm just happy to see new guys with the title instead of the same old mix (Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker, HHH, etc).

The crowd is fickle. They like/hate Cena when Vince says they can like/hate Cena.

I was never a big fan of John Cena. I've always been somewhat neutral. I'm just sick of seeing him as Champ.

I'm glad Edge is champ now. I've always been a huge Edge-Head...dating back to his debut...and especially when he was a member of The Brood.

I've always rooted for the bad guys.

Yeah, Flair put in a very good performance tonight. Quick question, the match is under extreme rules yet the referee pats down both individuals before the match

I can't believe that ECW will have an extreme match on NBC Saturday night.

Apparently all ECW matches are now under WWE rules and they are only going to be extreme rules when they announce them. Stupid, yes I know.

I know Stone Cold and the Rock haven't seen they don't wrestle anymore, but I can remember a time (especially when Goldberg was in the WWE) that the WWE title ran through HHH. HHH would win it, lose it to someone, win it back from them, lose it to someone else, win it back from that person, etc.
