How on earth I managed to pick 11 correctly straight-up and only 6 with the spread is beyond me.

I'm actually shocked at how difficult it's been for me to pick ATS. It's not a system generally used in UK gambling so I've had to learn it through, initially, Henry Hill's Wiseguy and then I had a little refresher when I signed up for this game. Hopefully my game will pick up soon.

How do they do it in the UK, Turi?

Straight up, with odds only?

Yeah it's mostly odds. With soccer being our main sport there's little or no room for spread betting - scores are too low. I guess it could work for rugby but as far as I know they're just regular odds still. A favoured way of betting on a soccer game here is by choosing a winner and first goal scorer with the odds accumulated.

Or another favoured betting method, like our straight up game, pick winners and their odds are accumulated. Pick up an accumulater sheet from your bookies (it'll have all the league games, maybe 40 approx) and you can choose as little or many winners as you like. I assume you can do that in the US too with the NFL?

Okay, besides the first week, I haven't made any picks, and I'm just giving up now that i missed two weeks. I haven't had too much time (homework) and also my computer's internet has been messing up on a regular basis everytime I get on a website, so it was kind of complicated to make any picks so I just said screw it.

I've just looked at the upcoming games and is going to be a make or break week for us all. This week looks to be the hardest so far this season for simply picking winners. If I see scores of over 9 for ATS and over 10 for SU I'll put it down to luck.

I forgot to make picks for against the spread

It's a sad day in the DMC household

I try to play every single day, even thought it might not have appeared that way in Fantasy Baseball I was lol

I don't think you were the only one DMC. Marycas must have forgot to also - unless he failed to get any correct ATS picks which is a bit unlikely. No one could have chose SF over Indy.

DMC, if it were up to me those that accidently miss weeks should get an average of their scores performance. I'd give you 6 points for this missed week based on a mean of 9, 3, 6 and 4. And 9 for MC. And, is it Don Andrew? (Let's go Fins and Skin'), 6 for his week 4 performance he missed.

Absent-minded fantasy owners can go into "Edit Entry Settings" and sign up for the Weekly Email Reminders, if they can't remember that football is played every Sunday. :p

I would never want to get points or average points on days I didn't play.

Don't worry - you won't. :p

How can you remember to go straight up, but not against the spread? (I'll leave the double-entendres to you lol)

(I'll leave the double-entendres to you lol) [/b][/quote]in all honesty I think it's because I was a higher percentage rank in straight up so I made sure to get those in first. I was worrying about a free agent pick up in the league with Cardi (that I'm 5-0 in, the only undefeated team thank you very much) because I had Caddillac Williams, Dominic Davis and Lamont Jordan as my running backs so I was worrying about getting someone who wasn't hurt or on bye week lol

Guess I just forgot

I would never expect to get points

How would I know that? There's no COMMISH in that league to keep score, so it doesn't count. All I see is you now 2-2-1 in the "real" league... :p

I think an NFL league is more "real" than a Yahoo League

My team name in that league is Tuscany Grill

I'm filing an official protest with ESPN Fantasy. I submitted a pick for Week 5 and it .....went into outer space. (At this point all you guys are feeling really bad for me, right?) But I'm not gonna cry. It's my own fault for not checking. So I'll just suck it up and beat you guys anyway. :p

By the way DMC, don't go bragging. I'm 5 - 0 over in my other fantasy league. The only undefeated team.

And this week in our Pigskin Pickem, I was 10 and 4 ( along with Just Lou) with my picks!
Only 2 points behind you in the standings. And I joined the 3rd week of the season.

Straight up I've got 8 picks right and not 7 which is what ESPN are showing.

MC, again if it were up to me I'd give you an average based on either your past weekly performances or on the groups week 7 average.

and giving a shout out to all me peeps.

Thank you DB for acknowledging my good week - I need to close the gap - ewww that would sound nasty if you were a 'chick'. Anyway .... I wouldn't expect anything from PL - he is disappointing me with his play in the fantasy football league so far. He is losing - losing to 'chicks' also.

And he can't complain of a 5 day draft this time either ... :p Or that the system auto picked 2 QBS like last year. It seems left alone he did this himself. Personally I believe he needs a co-owner, with all the sports he is involved with. Not too late to turn the season around, I have faith in him. I would volunteer but I'm busy ... So I was thinking he should get a 'chick' to be co-owner. Buffy is one that comes to mind, but I know she is in some leagues already with her peeps. Gina is another but she is too absorbed watching her boys in the World Series, so that leaves Lezbo. PL and her will make a good team - if they can't get wins they will at least be grammatically correct in their choices and if all goes bad, she can take him out shopping.

And speaking of the other league - as Commish, I believe you need to step in and start kicking some ass over there. These teams can't take two minutes to at least start a line up. Pork should suspend anyone from the board for 2 weeks if they don't submit a lineup at least of players who are playing - I believe that is fair.

Hope everyone is 'behaving' I know some are not though .... but I won't name names ... :p

Kind of you sir. I'm recovering nicely from the overdose of sleeping pills. My doctor says that I should give up this Fantasy life and concentrate on something more realistic, like .... politics. :p
