The White Sox beat Houston two times at home. Then they beat Houston two times on the road.
Bobby Brown is the only other person to do that in the same week...

This is perhaps the funniest post I've seen in a long time (Sorry, Gina)
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

Congrats to Chitown for a championship! And yes, while I understand the Yanks haven't won "lately"... Number of World Series Rings Roger "Rocket" Clemens Won With the New York Yankees: 2 Number of World Series Rings Roger "Rocket" Clemens Has Won Since Leaving the Yanks in "retirement" and then pulling a switcheroo and signing with his hometown Houston Astros: 0 Yes! I'd like to offer my official and sincere congratulations to the 2005 Champion team, the Chicago White Sox. Have we determined if there are any Sox fans here? If so, I extend my congrats to you, personally, and I thank you for keeping this series so classy. Let me just say that if we had to lose, Chicago was a good club to lose to. They seem to be a great organization, and they've got some amazing ballplayers who certainly deserved the win. Also, I always appreciate a nice "fairytale" story, and this year was very reminiscient of last year's. Congrats. --------------------------------- ERA Put Up By Roger "Rocket" Clemens "Since Leaving the Yanks in "retirement" and then pulling a switcheroo and signing with his hometown Houston Astros":2004 - 2.98 2005 - 1.87 I'm not trying to be mean or start anything (though it probably will), but I have to defend Roger here. Sorry to take away from the original purpose of this thread.

nice article ronnie.. now, here's a theory: if Nolan Ryan, Cy Young, Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, Willie Mays and a few other great players were put together in a team to face the White Sox in this year's postseason, I think they'd lose. I just don't know what happened with this team. they get down 0-4 in the fourth and then pile 5 runs out of the blue in the fifth. they allow the tie in the top of the 9th and then win in the bottom with a walk-off HR from a guy who hit ZERO homers in the regular season. with 2 outs, the batter gets the 3rd strike, but still runs to 1st and later score the winning run. with 2 outs, the runner is tagged but the inning does not end. then Mr. October "Joe in-Crede-ble" (who????) bats in the winning run (once again!) these guys will never play like that again. congrats to them!
