I didn't say the plot is unrealistic! what I find unreal in GF3 is some of the action scenes, specially those two I talked about before.
About Diane Keaton's acting, well...each of us have its own opinion!

Well, I agree with you that GF3 is very touching, that's the best thing about this movie. in the end, after Mary get shooted, there's a short flashback of Michael dancing with Appolonia, Kay and Mary that almost makes me cry!
