Apparently Vince Young has decided to enter the NFL draft.

Full story!

I think this is a good move for Vince Young, as his stock right now can't go any higher, just lower.

Doesn't come as a complete shock. Now the Texans have a tough decision to make. Picking Young brings up the scenario of keeping the decent Dominick Davis and trading David Carr. OR picking Bush makes them have to totally revamp their O-line. Just think of the marketing Vince will get if Houston picks him.

Hey, how's it going?

Surprised, but not shocked. Mack Brown has convinced his share of qualified underclassmen to stay for an additional year, and I thought the same would be true for Young. But he's doing the smart thing. He'll be a top five pick (at worst!) and likely in the top two or three. I was surprised Matt Leinart stayed in school for the extra year.

Houston can draft whoever they want but unless they sort out their o-line in free agency it's going to be a wasted pick. I bet David Carr and Dominic Davis would look a hell of a lot better behind a decent line. Drafting Young would be such a pussy pick. They may as well say "We're a terrible team but if we get a mobile QB and dodge a few sacks we'll look better." And I can see the dilema in not drafting Bush. How can you pass that opportunity up? It's the old cliché - do you draft by need or best player available? They're in a tough position. Fans wont like it but I say they trade down a few spots, get another first rounder for '07 and draft by need.

I remember seeing him on PTI a while ago and he sounded quite smart by not making a decision then. Shame he said, after winning the Rose Bowl, that he was staying for another year but you can't blame the kid for a heat of the moment speech. Now he's had time to think and it looks like he's making the right decision. He looks a good fit for a few teams.

Has Bush actually declared himself yet?
