The All Star team would probably look like this:
In Goal: Dida

The rest you can position them wherever you want, midfield, striker, centre back, on the wing, wherever, if they played as a team they would be one of the greatest teams in history.

Adriano (BRA)
David Beckham (ENG)
Roberto Carlos (BRA)
Raul Gonzalez (ESP)
Michael Owen (ENG)
Ronaldinho (BRA)
Ronaldo(BRA)
Wayne Rooney(ENG)
Ruud Van Nistelrooy (HOL)
Zinedine Zidane (FRA)

Don Jasani,
they could never play as a team. And you got 6 attackers, 3 midfielders, and on defender. Too little balance in your team, I guess.

Don Pappo,
Belgica.

My team would have to operate under ideal circumstances. A year of practicising together, and bonding as a team. Offensive players learning to play defensive positions and vice versa. After having sufficient training then they would compete. However, the team would most probably not work out because having a whole bunch of stars on your squad is not always the answer as Real Madrid has shown us.

Why not using defenders on the defending positions? Players like Adriano are only good when playing as an attacker. Only IMHO, of course...

My allstar- team

------------------Casillas

----Thuram---------Nesta--------Ayala

----------Makélélé------Pirlo
Ronaldinho----------------------Vicente
-------------------Kakà

---------Raùl---------Shevchenco

Imo, a truly great footballer can be trained to play any position on the field except for perhaps goalkeeper. Of course, it is better for players to play their "natural" positions but I think that a magical striker could be a magician at defense given the practice.

How about this for a potential dream team....

1. Buffon
2. Thuram
3. Cole
4. Vieria
5. Nesta
6. Terry
7. Robben
8. Riquelme
9. Rooney
10. Adriano
11. Ballack

Apologies to anyone i might have missed but that looks like a pretty good side.
A manager?
Anyone BUT Sven Goran Ericsson.....

We all know that the coach should be...well, it begins and ends with the name Khalid A. Jasani. How can there be any doubt? :p
