With bonus multipliers:
Code:
JL - USA (1.1) Ger (1.0) Austria (3.1) Italy (2.9) Norway (1.4)
JG - USA (1.1) Ger (1.0) Austria (3.1) Russia (2.0) Norway (1.4)
PL - USA (1.1) Ger (1.0) France (3.0) Russia (2.0) Canada (2.3)
DM - USA (1.1) Ger (1.0) Finland (4.4) Sweden (9.0) Spain (11.5)
Gold Medal = 3 pts, Silver = 2 pts, Bronze = 1 pt
Points = Medal pts TIMES Multiplier above

So while DMC may be trailing now, just a couple medals from Sweden or Spain can push him quite a bit...

Code:

JL 26.8
JG 23.9
PL 19.2
DM 9.3

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

That's the plan

Any medal at all from Spain or Sweden and I'm pretty damn happy.

Good ol' ESPN ( ), when I look at your tiebreakers, it's displaying the wrong freakin' questions.... it says, eg, that JL predicts the US will win 43,050 medals!

I think the wind resistance in Torino will be much worse than in 2002

Plaw, this is strange. I was reading through this thread a few days ago, and I noticed you mistaking Michelle Kwan for Nancy Kwan - just today, my mom did the exact same thing. She was just talking to me about the Olympics and she was asking me if I heard about Michelle Kwan dropping out, but she, too, said "Nancy." I told her I didn't know who that was, then I remembered what happened here and asked her if she meant to say "Michelle." She couldn't figure out where she got that from, and I thought it was crazy you both did the same thing.

Sorry, just a little Twilight Zone moment that I had to interrupt you with.

Edit: Sorry for the new page.

Those are the same scores I posted yesterday at 3:39 PM -- I'm assuming that the games aren't live here in the US due to the (I think +5 hr) time difference, so yeah, those should be Saturday's totals.

They've been updated:

Code:

JG ^ 46 79.8%
JL 44 71.7%
PL 41 64.9%
DM 09 7.4% Looking for his strategy to start working

You should've read my earlier post about who Nancy Kwan is, then you woulda impressed your mom.

(Had you asked me a couple years ago who Nancy Kwan was, I would've had no idea -- but I did some video work for her web site and learned who she was... )

I actually did read your post, but I didn't remember it until after I told her I had no idea who "Nancy" was...I guess I was thinking strictly "Olympic People" that I'm familiar with (which isn't many...) at the time. Besides, any time I try to tell her about a story or something from the BB, she usually has no idea what I'm talking about, and I wind up sounding like a forum nerd.

Alright, Plaw. I'll take that, because I deserve it - but when the season rolls around and BBC starts up, I better see you there playing your (mushy) heart out, with no DNPs, or you'll be no better than this Wussette. :p
