CREATE YOUR ENTRY
Torino Challenge entries are composed of 5 Countries.

In order for a entry to be complete, all 5 roster slots must be filled by a country. Countries can be moved onto your entry by selecting the checkbox next to the country name, then clicking on the "Select Country" button as shown below. Countries must be added to your entry by the Game Start on Wednesday, Febuary 15 2006 in order to qualify for prizes. Note: there is a link at the bottom right-hand corner of each FREEAGENCY page that will take you to another page of countries.

There is no Salary Cap for this game, select any 5 countries.

This one is tougher than bass fishing, cuz there's actually some research you can do.

And how about those tiebreakers, huh?

Well, at least I've heard of Nancy Kwon. That's a good start, I guess.

Is it just me or do those seem like the questions you get on the test in middle school and then at the very end it says "if you followed the original directions of just reading the entire test first you will know to just put your name on it and hand it in."

I never heard of her, but I have heard of Michele Kwan. I just love when she does a flying sitz spin.

Nancy Kwan is an Asian actress popular a few decades ago. :p

"Pork's Acrapolis" won in '04, so I expect to defend my title. Need a new name, though, since we're in Italy now.... hmm...

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

If Nancy Kwon isn't competing, is Jackie Chan entered in something?

apparently we go by a different calander than ESPN

edit: nevermind, but that's BS that you can make your picks as late as Feb 15 and still qualify for prizes.

Would you please register for the baseball game already.

I'm starting to get panicky that you're not gonna play.

Apparently the idiots changed it:

"Countries must be added to your entry by the Game Start on Saturday, Febuary 11, 2006 in order to qualify for prizes."

I thought it started the 15th, too (I even missed the opening cermonies) cuz of those ESPN idiots.

I basically did a quick pick of the top 5 from '02, and planned on doing more research. Well, at least I got picks in at all.

Another great ESPN game....

Not only can't I figure out how to see which countries everyone else picked, I can't even figure out how to see my own.

It'll be fixed.

I just like how they start games w/o testing them first. Good ol' ESPN.

I found out something by accident today. I can play these games without joing a group. If I suck, I pretend I didn't play. If I'm doing well, I jump in the group and brag about it. :p

Beth did that one year in one of the salary cap games.

We had a subsequent meeeting of The Gangster BB Fantasy Games Board of Governors, and decided that that tactic would not be permitted.

Nothing counts if someone does not join the league from the beginning, unless they join late and start at "zero."

This game would be better if you could change your countries whenever you wanted to (still staying within the cap, of course), as certain events are completed and others are yet to come.

(Edit: What is it that they say about "great minds"? }

At least this great mind wrote "USA" instead of spelling out the two words so it doesn't appear like 2 different countries at a quick glance. :p

If there was a cap, they'd have to eliminate the "Country Bonus". I like the bonus multiplier. It changes the strategy.

I forgot....there is no cap.

But they could still allow you to change countries in the middle of the game without eliminating the bonus multiplier.
