No Ensberg ("Phil Garner will likely give him at least one of those games off") or Biggio (WTF?) in the first game?

I'm surprised about Ensberg.
The only reason I took Feliz and not Ensberg was because altho I was maybe 90% sure that Ensberg would play two, I was 99% sure that Feliz would, since he plays 3 positions (1B, 3B, and LF).
But I'm certainly not surprised that the 40 year-old Biggio is gonna sit one out; I just gotta hope now that the 35 year-old Durham doesn't.

CS, I just realized we had identical lineups - Thome's my homey, too. I've already experienced several "firsts" for the 2006 baseball season: - My first Internet banning was yesterday. I was caught doing homework late Tuesday night, so my mom declared that I wouldn't be allowed on the computer the next day. This is just the beginning of a long season in which my mom and I will "fight" over schoolwork vs. baseball, but I didn't expect it this soon. What kills me is that the HW I was doing didn't even need to be done that night. Anyway, in a completely desperate move, I set my lineup for my school group in my computer class yesterday, and I gave my cousin my password to our group to set the same lineup when we got home. My mom ended up finding out about my bending the rules in the computer class, but, being the incredibly understanding mom that she is, she let me use the computer late last night after homework - it was at this time that I switched to Thome...whew! (Disclaimer: I'm not as bad as you might think I am with my schoolwork - I do procrastinate, but I always make sure I get it done. My problem is that I'm willing to sacrifice sleep to maintain both schoolwork and baseball, which my mom doesn't agree with... ) - The DH tonight marked the first game which was extremely personal and business for me. I felt like Jekyll and Hyde, cheering on guys like Taveras, Lane, and such, then getting upset when I realized I didn't have them on fantasy, then cursing myself for being so selfish and not focusing on the Astros' purpose. Not to mention all of the superstitious "strategies" I had going, as I watched the game.

Not to mention all of the superstitious "strategies" I had going, as I watched the game. My worst superstitious thing I do at Laker games is the way I sit... I sit with my legs crossed, and I lean forward-- but during the first half, I cross my legs towards the Lakers basket, and second half, I switch my legs when they switch sides... I swear, when I don't do it, we lose, and when I do it, we win. It's only crazy if it doesn't work, right? :p

Tell your mom to get in touch with me, GG. I'll straighten her right out. (Of course if you're not particularly anxious to tell your mom that you communicate with men who you met on an internet message board and who are old enough to be your father, I'll understand perfectly )

Actually, Gina, "old enough to be your grandfather" sounds much better. Kinda gives me a "nice, harmless old grandfather type" sound and feeling.

The race tightens....Top 8 separated now by only 67 points. The guy who really got brutalized yesterday was SC. On a typical day with no DH, his 73 probably would have been good enough to make up a significant amount of ground. Instead,......

That's the way to win this game, TM. By making better picks than everyone else. Don't be anxious, be confident (altho I can see readily enough why you're not confident with Hudson.....How the hell did you come up with him today, of all people? )
