I went over the cap once in the basketball game, but that was an accident - I had finished picking my team and simply didn't realize it.

ASSumption....? :p
Wait....Are you saying or implying that you do not pick your team every day the way I suggested?

'Cuz I know there's a post somewhere where you say just that; I just don't feel like lookiong for it.

You think so? Or is he just letting out some more of his hot air?
Strictly a gratuitous comment, because I believe that you pick your team the same way as well, which means that my "assumption" is correct and there is nothing "hot airish" about it.

Of course, on the other hand DC, with you no one knows.

You have so jealously guarded your strategy secrets that have led to your outstanding performance.....

Like when you wrote:

I suppose it is quite possible that my assumption is incorrect and you do go about picking your team backwards.

Although I guess I do have have to give you some credit; you have been doing better lately.

You are not only ahead of a person who started three days late and has missed an additional day or two besides and a person who barely plays at all, you've temporarily passed someone else who was on vacation for four or five days and had her mother, I think, picking her team for her.

:p

You spend all your time playing fantasy baseball?

Cause a man who doesn't spend all his time strategizing his fantasy baseball team can never be a real man.

Sorry for the slight (16 hours) delay in getting this posted.

You know how it is for us folks with busy lives to lead outside of fantasy baseball.

Thanks Don S. Perhaps I am approaching the play of this game the worng way. I don't know.

I'm in 3 Yahoo Fantasy leagues, 2 of them POINTS and one of them HEAD TO HEAD, and in the two POINTS leagues, I am in 1st place in one of them and 3rd place in the other.

In the head to head league I am in 3rd place.

But for some godforsaken reason, I just can't seem to do well in this Salary Cap league.

Maybe next year I'll just stick to salary cap Golf!

After 9, tied 4-4, one or two points difference...

After 10? -4 vs 20 ??

That's called LUCK.

About time I had a good day on offense.

BTW, I edited the scores above to reflect the team's W-L on days that the guy pitched, rather than the pitcher's individual W-L record, which is the way I have been doing it all along.

I also put LZ back in there; She hasn't removed herself from the league, and she throws in an occasional post.....

yeah I have to admit, I wish I knew PL's "technique" to pick offense players. I always get mad when I go see his box score and find out he got 10+ pts from inoffensive players, just like Batista and Bard yesterday.

I outscored the bastard 34-10 in pitching and he still beats me!

PS: Schmidt is going to kick ass today!

Incredible 61 pts of offense for PL yesterday
yeah I have to admit, I wish I knew PL's "technique" to pick offense players. I always get mad when I go see his box score and find out he got 10+ pts from inoffensive players, just like Batista and Bard yesterday.

I outscored the bastard 34-10 in pitching and he still beats me!

Which box scores have you been looking at, TM?

My "technique" which has served me well over the years hasn't been anything special this season.

This past Monday I didn't post the weekly stats for last week or the cumulative stats for the season but, like everyone else, my pitching has been spotty, with my PS scores around the same as everyone else's.

It's been my offense which has let me down this season.

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

I mean your team's page. (click at team's name, then at "previous" or "today", depending on the time)

Ok, I don't know how I managed that. I know I got busy at work yesterday, but I swore I changed my team. Guess not.

Yeah, scores are unofficial until the next morning. A few people got an extra point, but not sure why...
