As I recall, the last time you didn't get to change your team because you were, um, "delayed ( ) in A.C., you did better than anyone else.

Guys, let's face it. In this game, the more you try, the less you score.

Be thankful for this.

Yeah...And I'd have Glavine pitching, with the Mets due for a win.

Of course David Wright hits a grand slam on a day I don't have him in my line up.

Did you enjoy it DB? :p

It was satisfactory.

Last week was too up-and-down. Not enjoyable at all.

I texted PL before, and apparently he lost his Net connection until tomorrow or something...

Well, if Plaw's not playing, why should I?

(Just an excuse for my lack of spirit and skill for this game. )

Plaw, get that Net fixed - nothing stands in the way of fantasy, remember? At least that's what you taught me.

I didn't change my roster yesterday. No great excuse except...I forgot. I got swamped at work, and we had a thunderstorm last night so was not on the net when I got home. This should be good.

yes DB, if you look at this way, I actually got lucky.

the only reason why I forgot was the fact that there wasn't a stand out pick, so I thought "okay, I'll start picking some hitters and see how it works out". it wouldn't have happened if Johan Santana or P-Mart were pitching anyway.

well DC, I don't expect such a luck out like you did
a rookie pitcher that 17 innings of experience and is facing one of the best offenses in MLB at their home has got be in trouble. I'd take a 10 pts anytime.

The dedicated few up top are still fighting it out, but I think the pool is the only thing keeping them going. Some who have done little to nothing on their lineups are maintaining decent positions, which I can't quite explain. Several people who I really considered the top players have lost interest, much like myself, and it's sad to see them drop in the standings.

If only you guys could've seen what it was like when we were still in school. Every day, I'd bring that score sheet, and it'd be the first topic of discussion when I saw any of the other players. People would gripe about pitching, whisper about doubleheaders, discuss strategy tips, form alliances, hire others to set their lineups when they couldn't, trash talk each other, and of course brag about their good days. Basically, like what we do here.

Anyway, thanks for asking about it, CS...but all of that was lost when we left each other for the summer, and the spirit has gradually faded.

ooh the good ol' days in high school... it's all downhill from there, gina.

about the PS, well, I swear I'm not gonna whine in a long time. it was a bigger luck out than I ever expected. makes you feel dumb since you break your mind sometimes to pick a PS that gets bombed and then you get a 1 run game by accident.

This game sucks. I may not play next half.*

* Actually, some of you already know that I'm not playing next half because, among other reasons, there are at least two weeks in August where fantasy baseball will be the furthest thing from my mind.

In any case, this is the second time in as many weeks the Seattle offense has screwed over my pitching staff. I'm not one for making grandiose statements, but this is the last time I'm picking against them - ever.**

** Until the next time I do.

save your anger, DB. the Mariners screwed me once also and they would've done it again yesterday if.... (you know)

if you do not play, it will be obvious that the Gangster BB fantasy sports will be falling apart. plaw hasn't already posted in 2 days...
