Problem is - now you might remember that name next time... :p

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

Hey Boss....

According to the scouting reports, this Corcoran is nothing special.

He's 28, and not considered much of a prospect. He broke in last season, and did nothing.

What's that MaryCas always says about the blind squirrel and the nut? :p

Seriously...nice pick, taking TB on the road.

They should give you some kind of multiplier in this game for picks like that, when you take a big underdog.

TB was about a 3-2 underdog. Maybe they should give you 1.5 times his number of points, and when a guy like Santana pitches and he's a 2-1 favorite, only give you half of his points.

Truthfully, I didn't think it was that crazy -- I saw how he did the first couple outtings... figured, hey, against the Nats... and that was that. Of course, a gamble - but - I really didn't see anything else I liked, considering how much $ the alternatives would've costed... so...

What "first couple of outings"?

This was his second start. His first was a 5 innings, and nothing special. Last year he was shit.

Still, as I said before, "Nice pick."

Anyway....

Surprised how everyone was more San Diego-oriented than San Fran, even though they are the home team.

I thought the pitching matchups definitely favored SF, and they seemed to me to have the better hitters.

In other words, this wasn't a case of me trying to "go unpredictable".

We'll see, I guess.

G'night.

My sportsbook has both games of the DH very close.

The first game, Cain vs. Thompson, they have the Giants favored slightly (1.07 - 1.00 on SF, 1.03 - 1.00 on SD).

The second game, Hennessey vs. Williams, they have San Diego as a slight favorite (1.14 - 1.00 on SD, 1.00 - 1.04 on SF).

I do have to apologize to TM since his move into 2nd Place isn't reflected in the chart which I started last night...

I don't think he changed his team since he joined, and probably didn't read my little bit of advice.

Dunno if I'd give up a 69 so easily.

Don't feel bad, Beth. I got credit for a 68 but I scored 84 yesterday.

CS, I'm going to the game tomorrow - I don't know how I always manage to catch the Scrubs when they're in town, but I'm looking for revenge. Your guys are 1-6 against us so far this year, and the one game that they won was the one I attended. Heed my warning - if they win tomorrow's game, and I begin to worry that I'm some kind of a jinx (which I will, of course), you'll be the one to blame! :p

Btw, a bit belated perhaps, but congrats on getting Derrek back.

[whine alert]

I had a bad feeling about Santana on the road last night.

So what happens?

Santana does nothing, Minn gets the win and 20 points anyway, and I get one of the best games of the season from Kazmir but the high-priced offense that I put together with all the cap room I had from a 3.4 PS scores me a whopping 9 points.

God forbid I care about real baseball, Geoff! :p

You would be so proud of my friend. When he's at a game, he thinks/discusses fantasy more than the Astros. He checks the scoreboard for who needs to win and/or lose, and he actually yells out stuff like, "Go Biggio! That's two points!"

Oh, CS. I don't know what you did to my Wizard, but they were stingy with run support tonight. The poor guy pitched a CG and they just couldn't give him a break.
