I guess Geoff's +3 isn't looking so bad now. Taking the Big Eunich at home against TB seemed better on paper then taking someone against The Red Sox at Fenway.

I went against one of my 3 Golden Rules: 1) Never take the NYY PS 2) Never take any PS opposing NYY 3) Never take any PS opposing BOS I broke Rule #3 as I didn't really like any of the other matchups too much, and figured Weaver could handle it. Guess not.

Of the four years we've played this game, this year has been the strangest and most unpredictable for horrible - I mean really horrible, like minus 30's and shit - pitching performances by supposedly good pitchers.

And you wonder why there aren't seemingly as many 100+ days as there have usually been in the past -- where practically daily someone scored 100+ points. :p

I'm sure his opinion has changed dramatically since the day he said that the Salary Cap was the game of "skill", while the Yahoo game was nothing more than "luck" and "crafty finagling". That's the way it generaly goes around here - do well and it's skill, do poorly and it's luck. Anyway, since this is more of a game of skill, here's an update on the race for the Overall Points Championship. I know that JL built his excuse in a few weeks ago - how he was losing interest and everything - which I'm sure would not have been the case if he was doing better, and I've never really considered JG much of a threat in this game but, of course, I guess anything is possible. 1st 2nd

that's my man Peavy! he's going to be perfect from now on :p I just dropped Garret Anderson for Nick Swisher after almost convincing myself that I should settle down with the 1.1 cap left. Swisher #'s against the pitcher he's facing are sick but I know he's gonna go 0-4 and Anderson is gonna rock Loaiza, just like everyone does.

(Maybe I should've played flute? ) I know it really doesn't matter for this game since we don't compete head-to-head, but I apologize for not setting my lineup in so many days. The baseball spirit is still high in my heart, but it's more so for the "real" thing. And on that note, I'd like to say that Roger Clemens simply gets no respect.

This has nothing to do with baseball, but Field of dreams is mentioned enough here and I didn't want to start a thread just for this. :p Kevin Costner is gonna pay a visit to the Field of Dreams farm for the 1st time since the movie was made. http://breakingnews.nypost.com/dynamic/s...ION=ENTERTAINME NT
