I think it was deliberately made to look like the same shot--even the lighting in the rear window.
The China Bowl was a long-time fixture in the NYC Times Square area. I bet you remember it, PB.

When I was a kid my grandfather was a printer (local 2) down the old Daily News building (you remember that, TB
). Anyhoo, my dad and I would take the Metro North train from Fordham to Grand Central to meet him, then we'd walk all over the place. Times Square was my little brother's favorite (little? he's 40 now!).
I can remember the China Bowl very well.
