Halloween is coming up, and in the spirit of the holiday, some TV channels are running marathons in the days leading up to it. This is a great time of the year to watch horror movies and other scary shows, so I wanted to post the schedules I've found... I'm really looking forward to AMC's Monsterfest : SUNDAY – 10/22 11:30a The Fly (1986) 1:30p Poltergeist III 3:30p Children Of The Corn 5:30p Wolfen 8:00p DVD_TV Halloween 9:45p DVD_TV Halloween (Enhanced Version) 11:45p A Nightmare On Elm Street 1:30a Children Of The Corn 3:30a Godzilla 5:00a Undying Monster MONDAY – 10/23 6:15a The Invisible Man 7:45a Phantom Of The Opera (1962) 9:30a Creature From From The Black Lagoon 11:15a A Nightmare On Elm Street 1:00p Wolfen 3:30p Psycho II 6:00p The Lost Boys 8:00p Halloween II 10:00p Halloween III: Season Of The Witch 12:00a Halloween II 2:00a The Devil's Rain 3:45a The House That Dripped Blood TUESDAY – 10/24 6:00a Godzilla's Revenge 7:30a Them! 9:30a Dracula 11:00a Son Of Dracula 12:45p House Of Dracula 2:15p The Fly (1986) 4:15p Child's Play 6:00p Halloween III: Season Of The Witch 8:00p Halloween 4: The Return Of Michael Myers 9:45p Halloween 5: The Revenge Of Michael Myers 11:45p Halloween 4: The Return Of Michael Myers 1:30a Child's Play 3:15a The Innocents 5:15a Rodan WEDNESDAY – 10/25 6:45a Ghost Story 8:45a Frankenstein 10:15a Bride Of Frankenstein 11:45a Son Of Frankenstein 1:45p The Fly II (1989) 4:00p The Lost Boys 6:00p Halloween 5: The Revenge Of Michael Myers 8:00p Halloween: Resurrection 9:45p Gothika 11:45p The Lost Boys 1:45a A Name For Evil 3:45a The Fly II (1989) THURSDAY – 10/26 6:00a Island Of The Burning Doomed 8:00a The Beast Must Die 10:00a The Wolf Man 11:30a Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man 1:00p House Of Frankenstein 2:30p House 4:30p Puppet Master 6:15p Halloween: Resurrection 8:00p Hellraiser 10:00p Hellbound: Hellraiser II 12:00a Puppet Master 1:45a Pinata: Survival Island 3:30a The Fly (1958) 5:30a Terror Of Mechagodzilla FRIDAY – 10/27 7:00a The Curse Of The Fly 8:45a The Mummy 10:15a The Mummy's Hand 11:45a The Phantom of The Opera (1962) 1:30p Wolfen 4:00p The Fly (1986) 6:00p Hellraiser 8:00p Friday The 13th Part 2 9:45p Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter 11:30p Wolfen 2:00a Hellbound: Hellraiser II 4:00a Cat People SATURDAY – 10/28 6:30a Frankenstein Conquers The World 8:15a The Invisible Man 9:45a The Invisible Man Returns 11:30a The Wolf Man 1:00p Creature From From The Black Lagoon 2:45p A Nightmare On Elm Street 4:30p Friday The 13th Part 2 6:15p Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter 8:00p The Exorcist 10:30p Exorcist II: The Heretic 1:00a Exorcist III: The Legion 2:15a MOVIES THAT SHOOK THE WORLD: The Exorcist 2:45a House II: The Second Story 4:30a The Phantom of The Opera (1962) SUNDAY – 10/29 6:15a The Wolf Man 7:45a Dracula 9:15a The Mummy 10:45a Frankenstein 12:15p The Lost Boys 2:15p Child's Play 4:00p Children Of The Corn 6:00p Gothika 8:00p The Exorcist 10:30p Exorcist II: The Heretic 1:00a Exorcist III: The Legion 3:15a MOVIES THAT SHOOK THE WORLD: The Exorcist 3:45a Children Of The Corn 5:45a Invisible Man Returns MONDAY – 10/30 7:30a Son Of Dracula 9:15a House Of Dracula 10:45a The Wolf Man 12:15p Child's Play 2:00p Friday The 13th Part 2 3:45p Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter 5:30p The Exorcist 8:00p Hellraiser 10:00p Hellbound: Hellraiser II 12:00a Hellraiser 2:00a Hellbound: Hellraiser II 4:00a Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter 5:45a Backstory: Halloween TUESDAY – 10/31 6:45a Halloween II 8:45a Halloween III: Season Of The Witch 10:45a Halloween 4: The Return Of Michael Myers 12:30p Halloween 2:15p Halloween II 4:15p Halloween III: Season Of The Witch 6:15p Halloween 4: The Return Of Michael Myers 8:00p Halloween 5: The Revenge Of Michael Myers 10:00p Halloween: Resurrection 11:45p Halloween 1:30a Halloween 5: The Revenge Of Michael Myers 3:30a Halloween: Resurrection ABC Family is airing 13 Nights of Halloween : Thursday, October 19 8/7c Tim Burton's Corpse Bride™ Friday, October 20 8/7c The Sixth Sense™ Saturday, October 21 12/11c Tower of Terror 2/1c Casper Meets Wendy 4/3c The Little Vampire 6/5c Tim Burton's Corpse Bride™ 8/7c Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed™ 10/9c Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed™ 12 midnight/11c Urban Legend Sunday, October 22 12/11c - 2/1c Sabrina, the Teenage Witch 2/1c Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed™ 4/3c Tim Burton's Corpse Bride™ 6/5c Satan's School for Girls 8/7c The Initiation of Sarah Premiere Monday, October 23 8/7c Locusts Tuesday, October 24 8/7c The Initiation of Sarah Wednesday, October 25 8/7c Satan's School for Girls Thursday, October 26 8/7c Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed™ Friday, October 27 8/7c Misery Saturday, October 28 12/11c The Initiation of Sarah 2/1c Misery 4/5c It 8/7c The Sixth Sense™ Sunday, October 29 12/11c Scariest Places: Fear Force 12 noon - midnight Scariest Places on Earth Marathon 8/7c ALL-NEW Scariest Places on Earth 10/9c NEW Scariest Places: Fear Force 11/12c Scariest Places: Fear Force Monday, October 30 8/7c Tim Burton's Corpse Bride™ Tuesday, October 31 8/7c The Sixth Sense™

Scooby Doo??? Now that's funny..haha. Sabrina the teenage witch! Yeah, that's some scary stuff there. It's not the monster's, it's the acting. The original POTO is on several times, but all at times I'd either be at work, or have not desire to be up at 4:30 AM on a Saturday. (I know, with some people here that's just bed time).

So many of these movies I've seen dozens of times, and yet I can't resist watching a couple of my favorites this time of year. A few of my favorites: Poltergeist, Lost Boys (I really like this movie for some strange reason), The Fly, Misery, and the all time scariest (IMHO) The Exorcist. I don't mind Elm Street or Halloween (the first ones especially), and I think Chucky is kind of creepy...humorous, but still creepy. TIS

My favorites from that list: Frankenstein Bride Of Frankenstein The Wolf Man Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man House Of Frankenstein Son Of Frankenstein Dracula House Of Dracula Creature From From The Black Lagoon The Fly (1958) The Invisible Man The Lost Boys Them Halloween Halloween II Not for nothing, but what is AMC thinking including movies like Godzilla's Revenge and Rodan in a Monster fest? As Horror Movies? How about showing movies like The Last Man On Earth : Dr. Robert Morgan (Vincent Price) is the only survivor of a devastating world-wide plague due to a mysterious immunity he acquired to the bacterium while working in Central America years ago. He is all alone now...or so it seems. As night falls, plague victims begin to leave their graves, part of a hellish undead army that''s thirsting for blood...his! Dracula (1979 with Frank Langella) Invasion Of The Body Snatchers (Original) Psycho (Original) Godzilla's Revenge and Rodan? Don Cardi ![](/threads/images/graemlins/classic/cool.gif)

Was that the one where the scientist injects a tarantula with some kind of growth formula, and the tarantula escapes from the lab and grows bigger and bigger? I think It scared me more than any other book I've ever read. Maybe it is my fear of clowns (which my kids find hilarious, by the way), or maybe because the characters were children, but that one REALLY got me.
Gina, How could you not have finished that book?? You remind me of Mr. Babe. I loaned him The Stand when he had to fly to Europe on business. He got about 2/3 of the way through, landed back in NY, and never finished it. I asked him how he could've done that, considering the book was about a plague that destroys almost all of the people on the planet, and becomes a battle of good v. evil - didn't he want to know who wins??

SB, I don't know why I never finished it. I would read it everyday in my computer class after I was done with my work, but the people I sat by always wanted to talk, so I allowed that to distract me. If I ever finish this silly Tess book (and all the other required reading that is piling up), I'll go back to it. I have a present for you... :p (I'm sorry! haha)

In honor of Halloween, see if you know what horror flick these lines come from: "You're telling me I should send my daughter to a witch doctor?" And, one of my favorites: "Everyone goes a little mad sometimes." And another great one (it's so easy) "Heeeere's Johnny" TIS

There was a shoe store near us and they had a clown outside the store to lure customers in. Whenever we drove past it, the girls would nudge each other, and even whisper to their friends, "My mom's afraid of clowns," and this would just crack them up. My brother even went as far as buying me a Bozo Pez dispenser. Why couldn't I have a normal phobia??

The Fly is creeping me out...!
"Help me.... help me" (said in a high squeeky voice). EDIT: Never mind.... I was quoting Vincent Price (from the original film). I see its the remake that was on.
