Good one, Gina!

Yes - when you draft T-Mac, you "own" him.

I noticed the edit to your post...very nice, indeed. Though I'm not sure you mean it.

And as tempted as I am by T-Mac's assets, I really think I'd be terrible in basketball. I don't know most of the rules or players...it's just not my sport. I'll cheer Zia on.

I love baseball and I hardly understand fantasy baseball, forget about basketball. Apologies to all the basketball fans, but it's just not a favorite.

Gina, those clips were great! Thanks for sharing!!

And, FWIW, GO METS!!!!

Yay, Zia's in the game!

As for the rest of you ladies, I understand where you're coming from - it's the same reason I don't join the hockey game. With that said, the draft isn't for a few more days, and if the mood strikes you...

(I wonder if they can tell I'm trying to sound angelic??!! )

(Oops, I shouldn't have said that... )

It's still not too late to join, girls. I may not sound as angelic as DB, but you know. :p

Gina, that's another good one. LOVE the shades!! Did I mention lately how much I miss baseball?? I don't even want to watch the series. I don't like either team, so I really can't root for anyone and enjoy it. I want my Yankees back!!

DS, How would we know for sure if that's true?? I think we need a shirtless photo of you here in the Ladies Thread!! Girls, don't we all agree that otherwise we would just have to assume DS is doing some baseless bragging??

Say it ain't so!

I confess that I still haven't seen Anchorman, except for part of the ending that I caught on TV once.

Gina, I have to tell you, Anchorman is undoubtedly one of the most idiotic movies of all time, and yet there are scenes that made me laugh until I cried. It was stupid and moronic and stupidly moronic, but at times it's also absolutely hilarious.

Have you been watching the World Series?? I have to admit that I have had no interest in it at all.

SB, I love stupidly moronic humor!

From the bits and pieces that I've seen, I know it's got to be hilarious, but I've just never made a point of watching the whole thing. One of these days.

I watched most of Game 1, but only parts of Game 2 - mostly because I had a lot of homework that night. It isn't the same as watching my own guys, but it's baseball, so I'm still pretty interested.

I've tried, but I honestly just can't get into it. One of my coworkers is a rabid Yankees fan. He's actually rooting for Detroit because he says that if the Yankees had to lose, at least they should lose to champions. I guess that's as good a reason as any, no?? I know that you're pulling for the Tigers as well.

That's funny you say that...

A friend at school keeps telling me I should root for the Cards so we can say we lost out to the champions. Of course, we never even made the playoffs, but that's the team that kept us out.

I guess it is a reasonable argument, but I won't give him any credit...he's not even a baseball fan.

What happened with your foot? I was spying on the shout box, and I saw Mig mention it. I hope you're okay.

Thanks for asking, Gi. Stupid, stupid foot. I had some minor laser surgery on the 29th of September. I was in a surgical boot (Verrrrry chic) for two weeks, and then it seemed much better. It started bothering me last week, and with all the running around with the play last weekend, by Sunday it was swollen and I was running a fever. The site where I had the surgery is all infected, so I had to go back to the doctor and now I'm on antibiotics. And back in the surgical boot!! Was that TMI???

Oh, I'm so sorry, SB.

It sure doesn't help to have to be SuperMom while dealing with aches and pains - I know my mom would agree with that. She's had a lot of trouble with her wrist...she had surgery on a joint problem, but that and her shoulder still bother her often.

I know you have a lot to keep up with, but make sure you rest and take care so it can heal. Get well!!!

Besides, I hear surgical boots are "in" this season.

Ugh, Detroit is really stinking it up.

The weather could've been an excuse last night, making for some heartbreaking plays - Granderson slipping in center was just painful to watch. But then you have Rodney throwing the ball away on what would've been an easy out...

Well, this was just what I was able to catch in the midst of homework.

They're backed into a corner, now.

Stink?? That's an understatement. This is one of the most disappointing (from my perspective) series ever.

Over the weekend I went to the Ringling Bros. Circus in Cleveland. They had it at the Q. The Cavs play basketball there. Now I have to go watch a football game at Cleveland Browns stadium and Jacobs field to see the Indians. One of these days I'll make it.

Mig,
Did you enjoy the circus?? My mom took me when I was a kid to Ringling Bros. (I think it was at Madison Square Garden) and, due to my irrational fear of clowns, I spent half the time under my seat playing with a flashlight she had bought me that day. Needless to say, she was not pleased.
