Thought i would get you away from the political Discussions for a moment. As you know the 21st James Bond Film "Casino Royale" with be out worldwide soon.I thought the last 2/3 in the series were very overated, you cant beat the Roger Moore films in my opinon, what do you think of the last few Bonds and what is your fav James Bond. Mine is: The Man with the Goldan Gun(1974) Live and Let Die (1973) The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) Moonraker (1979) I like the storylines and Settings, music and the action,i just think the films since Goldan Eye have just been too dramatic and have gone away from there traditional themes.Technologhy has changed them...

Well...
Roger Moore sucked. If Connery was the ruthless bastard, Moore was the William Shatner of BOND. That is, you never believed him to be an action man, for always close-ups for him, then cut backs to a stunt-man doing the heavy stuff. Hell, Moore ran like a little girl. Besides, he never ordered "Shaken, Not Stirred" in his movies. Never. Go look them up, its true.
I usually say that the best of the franchise were the first few flicks, before BOND got complacent into its formulaic routine. In fact, GOLDFINGER might be considered the first true "BOND" movie that we know of.
Anyway, great topic mate..and expect a review this week from me on the last "good" BOND movie, which like the upcoming CASINO ROYALE, came out after years of Bond being MIA in theaters, had a new actor as Bond, and apparently has gotten raves from people who have seen the movie in advanced press screenings.
I took note with the London screenings, because the UK tabloids since last year wanted Daniel Craig to either die from cancer, or absolutely fail as Bond. They hated his casting. Now all those same rags think he's the best Bond since Connery.

I have three that are my absolutely favorites, and in no particular order. Dr. No Goldfinger Live and Let Die IMO Connery will always be the best Bond. Roger Moore was a pretty good replacement for Connery. But after that, no one even came close. Don Cardi
Don Cardi Five - ten years from now, they're gonna wish there was American Cosa Nostra. Five - ten years from now, they're gonna miss John Gotti.

Sean Bond? Never heard of him. The white kitty belongs to Blofeld, played by Donald Pleasance in You Only Live Twice. Who was the best Blofeld? I'll go with Pleasance, though I also liked Telly Savalas.

I'd rather make sweet love to Samantha Bond, who plays Miss Moneypenny in the Brosnan efforts. My favourite Double-O Sevens, in order: 1. Connery2. Brosnan3. Dalton4. Lazenby5. MooreI can't wait for Casino Royale.

"My name is Pussy Galore." "I musht be dreaming."
The musht is a must; it doesn't work without it.
You're right. The book explains that Pussy Galore's Flying Circus was made up of lesbians. They really couldn't expose that in the movie but it was kind of understood. Now, ONLY a man like James Bond could "convert" such a woman and make her straight. .

Now, ONLY a man like James Bond could "convert" such a woman and make her straight. Remember her reply to Bond when he first tries to seduce her? "I'm immune." A hint right there that she was a lesbian. Don Cardi

For some reason, I was thinking just there of Bond's sexiest moments. While Lazenby getting a room number drawn in lipstick on the inside of his thigh underneath the table is up there, I'd have to go with this whip-cracker:
"My name is Pussy Galore." "I musht be dreaming."
The musht is a must; it doesn't work without it. Well, Mick, my all-time favorite double entendre occurred in "Goldfinger": Bond's got Masterson in bed and he's on top of her when the phone rings. It's Felix Leiter, summoning him to a meeting. Bond replies, "I can't come down right now, Felix...something big has just come up..." Dead silence in the (1965) movie theater--followed, after about five seconds, with at least a solid minute of guffaws and belly-laughs.

"I stood in the courtroom like a fool."
"I am Constanza: Lord of the idiots."
