Well, the Yankees recently completed trades for Sheffield, who has been acting like a big spoiled baby. Although he was a great hitter for the team, he was out almost the whole season with a wrist injury/surgery. He's become a bit of an unknown, so I wish him well. We got three pitching prospects in return.
We also traded Wright, one of our starting pitchers to Baltimore for a reliever. Even though Wright had some decent starts, he rarely lasted for more than 5 innings, so I wish him well, too.
Waiting impatiently for 11/21, when they announce the AL MVP award.

BTW, congrats on the championship Houston won yesterday... You know, I had a feeling that somebody here would mention that. Figures that the sport I pay no attention to is the one that Houston wins a championship in. Several soccer fans at school were excited, but I'd started a bit of a baseball/soccer war a while back, so I can't quite bring myself to watch the sport. I haven't even watched the Rockets! Pathetic, I know. But it's just not baseball. SB, good riddance, right? The offseason has helped me develop a more "harsh" attitude - if they're slacking or whining, why waste time on them? Of course, it's a whole different story come spring when I see their sweet, angelic faces again....

And only because SB wasn't on the list... Well, Derek and I have to be discreet because of Mr. Babe, so.... Heck with this!! When are they going to name him ALMVP?? Edited to add: Btw, DS, I heard that the Cubs signed Soriano to a HUGE contract. I so wanted to see him back on the Yankees.

I'm doing an awful lot of cooking when I get there, aren't I?? Happy Thanksgiving to all the Ladies here!! Hope you're not all cooking, like I am. Actually, I don't mind doing Thanksgiving. At least I know what to serve!! SB, Well all that cooking you will be doing will be so worth it to me. Just think you can teach me how to cook Italian. I would also like to say Happy Thanksgiving to all the ladies and to the guys who lurk around. I will be cooking friday instead of Thursday.

Looks like Gina's getting a Woody to match her Willy...! Astros sign Carlos Lee to 6-year dealNovember 24, 2006 HOUSTON (AP) -- The Houston Astros, the NL's worst hitting team, signed outfielder Carlos Lee and right-hander Woody Williams on Friday, bolstering its offense and a pitching staff that could be without Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte....
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations
