Sure Double-J because it was the Breakfast Club who started attacking you, it wasn't the BratPack attacking the Breakfast Club for no reason at all, well I guess the reason being that we get along off the boards and have real friendships.
Right. Because, after all, we've come out and attacked you, right? In every thread. We're just following you everywhere...dee-dee-dee-dee...you're now entering the Twilight Zone. Actually, whats funny is that we didn't say anything about the BratPack we only commented on how some people will only post third grade humor with the petty name calling and ruining threads...if the shoe fits.
Actually, you used the Brat Pack by name. I don't even need a shoe horn for that one. At least have the balls to admit to what you said. It's no be deal - just tell the truth. Alas, if only the Shoutbox had an archive.

DMC?? That sweet angel of a young gentleman?? I believe that he refers to a maturity of the mind and soul, while you mentioned physical aging. Not the other way around. Irregardless. The definition of maturity is, "The state or quality of being fully grown or developed." He was calling you old!

I have the balls to admit what was said but the name Brat Pack was never brought up until you came into the box, because you got pissed off that we were talking about behavior that resembled your own. Live in denial. That's fine. But I wouldn't have jumped in had I not explicitly have seen the Brat Pack name. But the truth is known. I don't think the Breakfast club is following you into every post, but there were more than enough jabs taken at the breakfast club for no reason at all in other posts to realize what was going on. Jabs? Really? Are you sure it wasn't just sarcasm gone wrong? Or is it your paranoia again? And as I said before, this whole thing really started when members of the board said they couldn't make it for when you were coming to New Jersey Right. Because, after all, I did coin the Brat Pack phrase. I did indicate complete disgust at not meeting anyone in New Jersey. Of course. Silly me. What next? Did I kill some Jews to? Don't feel bad, or circumvent your anger, just because you were foolish enough to have a private conversation bashing members of the forum in a public arena. I could care less whether or not I saw any of the BB in New Jersey. Incidentally, I don't think I'd want to meet you anyways...bloodshed generally ruins and evening, and I don't want to get your brains all over your nice ivy league suit. Paranoid? Someone order this man a mirror. Regards, Double-J

Double J, there are 75 year olds I know that don't have the sense of 15 year old and 15 year olds that have the maturity of a 30 year old. I think that maturity is a state of mind and nothing else. "You're childish" "No, you're childish" "Me? Teacher, he called me childish first" "No, he started" Some members could be real debaters, and could be taken serious, but they continue to point out how stupid it has become, how bad the others debate, how immature the others are. Or they post stupid pictures.

Or they post stupid pictures. I take offense to that. They aren't just pictures, they're works of art! I spend two, maybe three minutes on that. And one of those minutes is Photoshop loading.

Yeah DJ, you posted tons of those, insulting other members. I even remember Apple saying something like "You're embarassing yourself again, Mad Johnny" when MJ was debating and making a good point, IMO. Quite insulting. DVC insulted someone, was asked ten times if he stuck to his point, if he didn't want to take back his words. Then, when I made a joke, and forgot the smiley, I was banned immediately. Now tell me Double-J, do you think those are double standards?

For the most part. Although I like to think of my picture posts as a modern-day version of the political cartoon, rather than an insult. ""Surprise, you're a retard"" is a political statement, made trough a cartoon? You didn't watch that South Park episode?

1) Few get high brow humor 2) However, low brow seems to be beneath them 3) Constant attacks 4) A skewed representation where people who support Bush are the majority, when in reality the majority of Americans do not 5) Failure to get sarcasm 6) Failure to see that the "Breakfast Club" term is a freakin joke 7) Several posts made in response to said joke as if it were real 8.) Said posts legitimatized elitist feelings that were previously only joked about 9) Intimidation tactics 10) Selective moderating 11) Poor spelling 12) Poor grammar 13) People acting innocent 14) The same debates happen over and over again 15) When said debates are hit with sarcasm, people freak out 16) Overreacting 17) Failure to have continuity between real posts 18) Failure to hold real debate 19) Failure to address these issues 20) Failure to grow the hell up
Please. Let's not forget 21) Failure to use 'Smiley's' when kidding therefore unfairly forcing others to misinterpret your posts. 22) Frequent pot-stirring. Time to polish the spoon collection.
A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government.

I'm sorry I wasn't around to see all the fireworks. However, I'm glad that there are other people that are fed up with the hypocrisy going on here.
Back a whole lotta posts ago, I was referring to JG, not you ES. Sorry for the confusion.
But seriously, the boards have become a hostile "you either with us or against us" kind of place.
JJ and I targeted this with satire and other things, but so many people didn't get it. Those that didn't became royally pissed off for no reason.
I would hope that people could act like normal people, before the age when people were offended by every little piece of minutia. Act like people did before "womyn" became a word.
I'm not saying I'm regressive. Not at all, so don't interpret it that way. (What's sad is I have to say this, otherwise someone will freak)
Stop being frivolous. We all know damn well you (as in the plural, but some people always miss that) don't lay awake at night sobbing going "oh God, JJ made fun of me on an internet message board" or "MJ won't agree with me."
The elitism that is now blatantly apparent was only joked about. We never thought people would get all defensive (btw, a defensive reaction is a sign of a guilty conscious). It was light humor, but the fact people are identifying with it is scary and points to a major problem.
Officially the victim/target of the first and third Non-Aggression Pact attacks #2 is Fathersson # 4 is Double-J

DISSOLVE TO: Back of a Restaurant in Jersey City. There are Breakfast Club and Brat Pack members seated and standing around a conference table. Don Malta sits at the head of the table. -day DONMICHEALCORLEONE : Don Malta, I want to thank you for helping me organize this -- breakfast here today. And also the other members of the Breakfast Club and The Brat Pack-- New York and New Jersey. SB from the Bronx -- and ah -- Brooklyn -- SC. An' from Staten Island, we have with us Don Cardi. And all the other associates that came as far as from California, and the United Kingdom, and all the other territories of the gangsterbb -- thank you. (then, sitting down) How did things ever get so far? I don't know. It was so -- unfortunate -- so unnecessary. DoubleJ lost a debate -- and I lost a debate. We're quits. And if DoubleJ agrees, then I'm willing to -- let things go on the way they were before... DON MALTA : We're all grateful to DonMichaelCorleone for calling this meeting. We all know him as a man of his word -- a modest man -- he'll always listen to reason... DOUBLEJ : Yes, Don Malta -- he's too modest. He had all those invitations in his pocket. He refused to share them...with the Brat Pack... DONMICHAELCORLEONE : When -- when did I ever refuse an accommodation? All of you know me here -- when did I ever refuse? -- except one time. And why? Because -- I believe this name calling business -- is gonna destroy the gangsterbb in the years to come. I mean, it's not like discussing or debating -- even disagrements -- which is something that some members seem to want nowadays, and is ah forbidden to them by the moderators of the boards. And I believed that -- then -- and I believe that now. DON MALTA : Times have changed. It's not like the other boards -- when we can say anything we want. A refusal to invite a Brat Pack member to a Breakfast Club meeting is not the act of a friend. If DonMichaelCorleone had all the invitations in his pocket, then he must share them, or let the Brat Pack use them. He must let them draw the water from the well. Certainly he can -- propose that we split the bill at such events; after all -- we are not Communists. DON CARDI (after some laughter from the group, stands): I also don't believe in clubs. For years I paid my people extra so they wouldn't join them. -- [DoubleJ whispers something to one of his Brat Pack aides] DON CARDI (continues): -- Somebody makes a post to the boards and says, "I have reservations made; if you give me three, four or five people -- we can have a breakfast club meeting." So they can't resist. I want to get rid of these clubs, keep it respectable and make us all one again. (then, as he slams his hand on the table) I don't want any political debates near the Godfather Trilogy Thread -- I don't want any Political Debates near the Scarface Threads! That's an infamia. In my threads, we move the politcal shit over to the General Discussion Thread -- the off topic thread. Politicians are animals anyway, so let them lose their souls... DONMICAHELCORLEONE :I hoped that we would come here and reason together. And as a reasonable man I'm willing to do whatever's necessary to -- find a peaceful solution to disolve these clubs... DON MALTA : Then we are agreed. The debates in General will be permitted, but controlled -- and DonMichaelCorleone will give up his Breakfast Club -- DoubleJ will give up his Brat Pack club and there will be the peace. DOUBLEJ :But I must have strict assurance from DMC -- as time goes by and his position becomes stronger, will he attempt any individual vendetta? DON MALTA :Look -- we are all reasonable men here; we don't have to give assurances as if we were lawyers... DONMICHAELCORLEONE (holding up his hand to interrupt DoubleJ): You talk about vengeance -- is vengeance gonna bring your club back to you? Or my club to me? I forgo the vengeance of my breakfast club -- But I have selfish reasons. Another breakfast club member -- was forced to leave these boards, -- (then, as he stands, with Sicilian Babes's assistance) -- because of this Breakfast Club / Brat Pack business. All right -- and I have to make arrangements to bring him back here safely -- cleared of all these false charges. But I'm a superstitious man -- and if some member here should make an attack against hims -- if he should get banned by some moderator here -- or if he -- should embaress himself by getting trapped in a personal debate -- or if he's struck by a bolt of lightning -- then I'm going to blame some of the people on these boards! And that, I do not forgive. (then) But -- that aside -- let me say that I swear -- on the souls of my grandchildren -- that I will not be the one to break the peace that we have made here today... [The dmc and sb move toward the head of the table where Don Malta is sitting. DoubleJ does the same. DMC and DoubleJ embrace as the others applaud] CUT TO: DonMichaelCorleone's car driving -night CUT TO: Inside the car where the DonMichaelCorleone and Sicilian Babe are sitting in the rear -night SICILIAN BABE :When I meet with the Brat Pack people, should I insist that all there future posts are clean? DONMICHAELCORLEONE : Mention it -- don't insist. Don Malta is a man who'll know that without being told. SICILIAN BABE : You mean DoubleJ... DONMICHAELCORLEONE : DoubleJ's a pimp -- he never'a could've outfought The Breakfast Club. But I didn't know until this day that it was -- Don Malta all along... ================================================================= Don Cardi
Don Cardi Five - ten years from now, they're gonna wish there was American Cosa Nostra. Five - ten years from now, they're gonna miss John Gotti.

For a serious answer to why people stop posting, how about;
22. The move to the next stage of their life.
I joined this board while in college because I had questions about The Godfather after having viewed it for the first time. I got my questions answered, but checked back in periodically when I had nothing better to do, mainly because I started participating in some of the fantasy sports leagues. I graduated college, got a real job, and now simply don't have time to spend pointlessly debating on some message board.
Newbies find this site primarily as a result of The Godfather, so I'm guessing many get their questions answered and leave. I doubt any of this club bullshit has anything to do with it. How could someone get offended by or judge someone they've never met before? The next post in this thread could turn out to be the most insightful, caring, and thoughtful idea you've ever read in your entire life, yet the poster could have written it while carving up his next door neighbor's children.
There is no theory of evolution. Just a list of creatures Chuck Norris has allowed to live.
