You're already degrading the person by calling them trash. What's the point of including the fact that they're white other than to clarify that they're a different kind of trash in that they're not black, hispanic, etc.? Nobody's been able to answer that yet.

Trash is a generic term that just means dirty or shitty. White trash means redneck.

White people are stereotyped as clean-cut lame people. The trash of the white race are rednecks. Why do you think we have two different stereotypes, the formal, eloquent business man type and the sister fucking teeth-missing beer belly type. "White" has nothing to do with black, Hispanic, Asian, or Indian people. Get over it.

exactly -- it's a play on stereotypes: white people are stereotyped to be these rich, upper-class businessmen - eloquent & intellectual - & to call them trash, but to implicate quite clearly that you're defying the stereotype, is the entire point. "white trash" is a play on words that builds on stereotypes. this isn't brain surgery, people...

Why so? You mention the fact that the person is white because there is a "white way" to be trashy (the young Madonna, for example), exactly as there is a black one or a latino one. There are trashy people in every ethnic groups. That's not racism, that's a fact. It got nothing to do with racism. It's just aesthetics IMO. Why do you guys always want to heat discussions raising such issues?

Oh and in that pic Miss Spears just looked lousy. Going around with a pregnant belly in public display like that is simply tasteless. Either you are white, black or green.

it seems blatant & obvious enough that the general outlook & majority agree that "white trash" is not a racist insult towards any external race than whites themselves, & since racism is not an adjective & tends to be a societal issue & an already defined term, i'm pretty sure it's safe to say "white trash" is in no way racist towards blacks, hispanics, asians, etc.

maybe we can end this pointless discussion now & get back on topic...? just a thought.
