Its pretty obvious that we all can't get along (apologies to Rodney King) and its even more obvious that some members REALLY don't like each other ( ) but I guarantee you that some decorum will be maintained here. Almost everyone seems to believe that if you don't like someone you should simply ignore them but few practice that ethic. Well, its time to practice what we preach and to put our beliefs into action.

Now, since this thread is about banning, can some admin or mod tell me why I was banned for 3 days last week? And why are MJ and FS banned only 1 day?

It was 2 days, not 3. And, different mods may choose to suspend for different amounts of time determined by themselves. I guess it depends on who catches you, and who's in a good/bad mood at the time. But as for WHY, that was because you called another member "an asshole", which obviously is neither helpful nor tolerated here....

I only forgot the smiley behind the word, and it should have been seen in a context. The person who I called it was DJ, and he knows I was only joking. I hope.

Then again, if one has to know each and every context and situation, that's difficult, so it's very understandable if you judge on absolutes, e.g. no words like asshole, regardless the situation. Okay, mea culpa.

But, I also wonder why I was banned immediately, while when DVC did the same thing as me, he was asked two times to take back his words, on which he replied with 'no'.
The mod's mood again, I guess.
