Michael had cause to drop out of sight.... But so did the toll collector at the Sonny assassination scene. I'll go with him.

Aw, plawrence, I can't stump you. It IS the toll collector. And I didn't even have to use my next hint, which was to emphasize the word "cause." (He had "Cause" to drop out of sight... because the toll booth was on the Causeway.)

Which male movie start did Johhny have an affinity for? I thought it was Frank Sinatra. Even though it was unspoken in the movie, I thought that's who he was modeling himself after... just a guess. smile

MistaMista's question wasn't what male movie star Johnny Fontane had an affinity for. It was "This guy had a certain affinity for a certain male movie star."

My guess is Vito, with an affinity for Johnny.

If I'm correct, here's a rather easy one:

This character has something in common with Mike Tyson.

"Growing up my dad was like 'You have a great last name, Galifianakis. Galifianakis...begins with a gal...and ends with a kiss...' I'm like that's great dad, can we get it changed to 'Galifianafuck' please?" -- Zach Galifianakis

Having Sinatra as an answer, Cristina, technically wouldn't be within the rules, since Old Blue Eyes wasn't a character in the films.

I think I understood the question. Anyway, I hope I did wink .
  • My guess was Johnny, with an affinity for Frank Sinatra (even though Frank Sinatra's not mentioned in the movie).
  • My "throw-away" guess was Fredo, with an affinity for Mickey Mouse (couldn't help myself smile ).
  • Don C's guess and plawrence's guess was Vito, with an affinity for Johnny Fontane (which seems to be the most likely).

Just to clarify, plawrence, my guess is Johnny Fontane, who IS a character in the movie... confused

Not quite who I was thinking of, but he does have certain "characteristics" akin to those of Tyson. Here's another hint.

"A Godfather III character.

I'm still pondering yours.

Oh, that must be Vincent, who bit off a chunk of Joey Zasa's ear.

Zasa's "bulldog" (forgot his name), played by former middleweight champ Vito Antufermo?

Edit: I like Cristina's answer better.

Starting to get a bit confusing here...... ohwell

Let's wait to hear from Mista Hagen on the movie star question.

Why don't you go, Cris....

eek Jesus, this is a popular thread. I posted my movie star one like 2 hours ago and already theres been like 10 posts following it.

The person in question is not Johnny or Vito or Fredo or Frank Sinatra. wink

Ill give a clue in a little bit if everyone is still stumped.

I dream in widescreen.

Was it Connie? I know when Johnny showed up at the wedding, Connie ran to him and flung her arms around him, shouting "Johnny...Johnny! I love you!"

I'll await your reply.

Hmmm.....I'll say it for about the 4th time.... ohwell

The trouble with this game is that there can be more than one answer that fits the clue.

It could be Batista's translator, but I'm thinking of someone else.

MM Tom Hagen's clue: This guy had a certain affinity for a certain male movie star.

Was it Fabrizzio? (He calls the American GIs in their jeeps "Clark Gable.")

Michael's bodyguards from GFIII

He'll never enter another revolving door.

Cuneo. (I think he was the one Willie Cicci killed in the revolving door.)

Another doggone intimidator Vito had to deal with.

Signor Roberto

Does she say anything??

Tom: "They shot Sonny on the causeway...he's dead."
Michael: "Turnbull is a good man"
Shane MacGowan: "It was Christmas Eve babe, in the drunk tank"

Very good, Senza Mama. cool

Yours (Does she say anything??): I'll guess Mary in GF2.

If that's correct...
He believed in heeding nature's call.

OK my clue could apply to a lot of minor chracters...this one appears in all three films and initially she's identical to her better half

Tom: "They shot Sonny on the causeway...he's dead."
Michael: "Turnbull is a good man"
Shane MacGowan: "It was Christmas Eve babe, in the drunk tank"

Thats a good guess I think.

If it is correct the answer to Nature's call could not be Michael who pretended he had to heed it, but instead Clemenza who actually did heed it while Paulie got whacked.
And if that's correct....

She was so grateful her boy was in the picture.

"Io sono stanco, sono imbigliato, and I wan't everyone here to know, there ain't gonna be no trouble from me..Don Corleone..Cicc' a port!"

"I stood in the courtroom like a fool."

"I am Constanza: Lord of the idiots."

Senza Mama

In all three films....

Pacino, Sofia Coppola, John Cazale, Talia Shire, Neri,

And again..

She was so grateful her boy got himself in the picture

"Io sono stanco, sono imbigliato, and I wan't everyone here to know, there ain't gonna be no trouble from me..Don Corleone..Cicc' a port!"

"I stood in the courtroom like a fool."

dontomasso, it wasn't Clemenza I was thinking of (oops, I had forgotten about that scene), so let me re-phrase my hint:

His brief philosophical statement illustrated his belief in heeding nature's call. wink wink

dontomasso, I'm so embarrassed blush . I forgot about THAT one too. It wasn't the one I had in mind. There is actually another character who also had something to say about "nature calling."

I didn't realize there were so many peeing references in the GF movies. wink . must be all that wine. [Linked Image] ---> (couldn't find a wine smiley)

dontomasso, the answer to yours is Lucy Mancini.

Senza Mama, when you said "identical," it made me recall that Sonny had twin girls (I think). The one twin, Francesca, had a speaking role in GF2 (I think it was a deleted scene, and we only see in the Saga), so her sister Kathryn must have been the silent one.

I can't remember if I really saw them at all in the 1st GF (maybe at the wedding?), but I'll guess Kathryn Corleone, Sonny's daughter, anyway.

CW, who did you have in mind?
Mista that Halloween one is tough/// Kay because she was a witch all the time? Archbishop Gilday because he liked to "dress up?" Or even Joey Zasa with his "bella figura?"
