Good one, DT.
Lou is the driver, Sollozzo is the guy for whom blood is a big expense.
I think we're up to date now, so....
This 1960's TV sitcom could have been about him.

This 1960's TV sitcom could have been about him.You mean we have to guess the show AND the GF character? plawrence, you're really giving us a challenge . Is it My Three Sons, which could apply to Vito?

You've come to the right place, Cristina. I'm a pretty big Dylan fan.
I can think of four:
Blowin in the Wind: The guy they killed in GF III and left hanging from the church steeple (Luchessi? Kleinzig?)
Girl from the North Country: Kay, 'cuz she was from New England.
It Ain't Me Babe: Carlo
But my final answer:
The Times They Are A Changin': Johnny Ola (“One by one, our old friends are gone. Death -- natural or not - prison – deported”)

All right! Another person who appreciates the genius of Dylan. Gee, it's hard to stump you. The people on this board know a lot about many things, not just the Godfather movies. The song is indeed The Times They are a-Changin'; however, Johnny Ola was not who I had in mind for inspiring it. The person I was thinking of specifically inspired the title... almost literally. Can you guess who that is? (Of course, you can; why do I bother to ask? ) And while you're guessing, plawrence, post another clue if you're online, as I think it's your turn. ... and another Oops! to DonMichaelCorleone . I had to check the Godfather online script and, sure enough, Sonny is the one who smashes a camera. Barzini merely destroyed the film in a different camera, but he didn't harm the camera itself (I think). So I guess in my version of Godfather Candid Camera, Sonny would be the star and Barzini the co-star .

Strangely enough, Cris, the exact quote isn't coming to me....Was it Michael to Vito? Or to Mama?
Anyway, new answer:
He would have fit right in in a 90's movie or it's sequel that starred Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith.

Yes, it is Michael. Do you recall the context? As you know, you got the song right ( The Times They are a-Changin'), and Michael practically says the title in one of his lines of dialogue (not verbatim, but pretty darn close). Ring any bells? As for yours, it must be a "man in black." Is it Buscetta, Michael's body guard? I don't recall seeing him in any other colour but black; but I'm sure somebody observant will correct me if I'm wrong .

Buscetta is correct. I can't place the damn "Times" quote . Shame on me. Your turn.

Wait....Michael to Kay during their stroll along the bucolic streets of New Hampshire?
When he says something to her like "My father's way of doing things is over, finished with."

Originally posted by Cristina's Way: When Michael talks to his mother about losing his family in GF2, she tells him, "You can never lose your family," to which he replies, "Times are changing." So there you have it. Not a literal quote (plus it was in Italian), but close enough to remind me of the Dylan song. One of the following lines COULD apply to Fredo. "You'd better start swimming or you'll sink like a stone". And Dylan wrote about Joey Gallo in "Joey", a loose reference to one of the Rosatto Bros. Sorry to interrupt the game.

By the most amazing of coincidences, Cristina, I just happen to be watching Dog Day Afternoon right now for the umpteenth time. I never would have come up with this answer any other way.
I'll guess that Attica! Attica! is "Sonny" (unless you're thinking of Michael, cuz Sonny in DDA was played by Al).

The Name Game is back ... and, incidentally, I am dying to see Dog Day Afternoon. Can you believe I have never seen it? I have heard enough about it, though, to know of the Attica line and the name of the main character (Sonny). Just don't anybody tell me the ending... Neither guess is the correct one, however. I used the word "Attica" because a more generic word might have made it too easy. And I turned it into a line from a Pacino film because... (no, that's too many hints at once; might give it away.) So, just think, what is Attica?

Yes, I know it is shocking, but both your guesses were incorrect. If it had been Sonny or Michael, that would have been toooo easy. It had to be more challenging -- so you would know how we feel when we get one of your clues. heh heh... The word "Attica" is there for a reason. If I used a more generic word it might have given it away (or given it away too soon)... Now concentrate...

Well, Attica is a prison in New York. And, I think, a city in ancient Greece..... Too easy? More challenging? I thought that my answer was a brilliant reponse to a brilliant clue, what with Pacino as the actor playing the role of another Sonny in a completely different film.

... then my clue is not as brilliant as you thought. You've got the generic word, though: prison. You'd think this person was in prison...... who is it?

Heh heh, Frank. We didn't think you'd be back so soon . But it's all a case of mistaken identity: We're not calling you, Frank Pentangely, a singing rat. We're accusing Frankie Pentangeli. People get you two mixed up all the time, I bet . Those are good guesses, but just not correct . Frank, I think I see your point about Apollonia being in prison -- it almost seemed that way considering how she was constantly chaperoned by her father and the rest of her entire family (plus, you could say those stone houses in the mountains of Sicily look like prisons ) You are both getting warmer, but I'll give you another clue. My original clue: You'd think this person was in Attica! Attica!Hint #1: What is Attica? a prison... so I could say that You'd think this person was in prison.New hint: Besides being a more creative way to say "prison," the words "Attica! Attica!" also indicate a real-life close relationship with Pacino the actor.
