Luckily DB, no one asked you for your input. And my "cute" team was beating yours until yesterday. And I do love my Lakers, but unfortunately some of them aren't staying on my team for too long. Ronny's my favorite new acquisition though... Cute, funny, sweet, adorable accent, AND he kicks ass! I hope he keeps playing this well. And what's this "cute" in quotations?! Half of them-- okay, maybe not half, but like 6 of them-- are the hottest players in the league! Don't be jealous just because you're not rockin' any hot foreign players! Although I know you don't care about looks-- you've got Nash and Kaman, two of the ugliest people to ever play ball. Or walk the earth. It's nice to see you don't discriminate against ugly people though, it warms the cockles of my heart. And yes, I said "cockles". No but really, I didn't pick anyone based only on looks. They're good players. I just got lucky in the hotness department. And if I don't forget to set my team again like I did today ( ), I'll be back up in 1st in no time.

C Marcus Camby - Shaq looked at him funny and he got injured
In the words of Bugs Bunny, "Now that's funny!" Although if Shaq looked at you funny, you'd probably get injured too. I also liked the "psycho" comment... true, but he's good. I'll take Arenas and Iverson for Kobe... Are you off your nut? Pick one and maybe we'll talk.

Input? you're married now........ Good one, Mr. Palm Pilot... Gotta admit it, DM. He got you good. Zia, I'm proud of you - looks like you've made it both business and personal, combining both talent and good looks to create the perfect fantasy team! I went to the opera last night with my Humanities class, and we saw Don Giovanni. I loved it! I enjoyed it much more than I ever would've expected to. We had a very good deal on the tickets since it was a school event, and it was well worth it. It had a great mix of comedy and drama, and the characters were very memorable. Somehow I managed to fall for the villain - Don Giovanni was to die for! Not sure if it was the actor or the character, though... (Mariusz Kwiecien) Maybe a mix of both. And I'd just watched Moonstruck this past weekend, so this was the perfect time to see an opera!

SB, do you recall any specific operas you saw? I'm completely out of the loop as far as what's what in the opera world, but I now hold an appreciation of it. I know I also saw Rigoletto in middle school, but I hardly remember it... So glad that you enjoyed it, and that you found a diversion now that Willy can't come out to play. Well, Giovanni was a temporary distraction, yes - but I'm afraid I've lost him, as well. These short offseason flings just don't cut it, do they? And just what are we supposed to do with ourselves until the spring?

Thanks for sharing your favorites, SB and CS - I'd love to go again, but I think it'd take another "student price" to convince me to. My mom was telling me about a woman she and my dad know who works at Houston Grand Opera. She said that the workers used to get free merchandise (such as t-shirts) for every show that was performed there. They decided to stop doing that, but in place of it, they're letting the workers watch a showing of every opera that is played there for free! That's such a nice thing to do on HGO's part, and it must be wonderful to experience such a variety of shows. SB, your mention of Pagliacci reminds me of the Seinfeld episode about it - something about Kramer trying to scalp the tickets on the street, and I believe it was Crazy Joe Davola who dressed up like the clown in the show. Also, Maynard played a song called Pagliacci, so I wonder if that had anything to do with the opera? Perhaps I need to actually go see it instead of relying on Seinfeld and MF for my knowledge of it. Mig, love the Blues Brothers! How cute.

Chapter 3: Sasha... No MoreIt took all she can muster. As Zia fumbled around with her mouse, she remembered the happy times - how she drafted him in the 17th and final round. Back then, she was brimming with hopefulness on the upcoming season. "He'll play well," she thought. "This will be his breakout year." ClickAs the sound broke and bounced around the walls, the effect of it reverberated around Zia's head. Like the treacherous tremble of a tolling train, the screech of the click gave her a slight headache. "It was for the best," she thought. "It's better this way." With sadness and trepidation, Zia looked at her computer screen. "We'll always have the Staples Center."

DS, Are you a Bears fan? If so congrats on the win over the Giants. If not never mind . I only seen the 2nd half of the game. The play I liked was when Devin Hester got the TD from that missed field goal. I'm sure my daughter Becky is not a happy camper this morning Have a good one!

They really have some work to do, especially on offense, but if the defense keeps playing the way it has, they have a shot to make it far in the playoffs.

Love it, CS. You're such an entertaining writer. Zia, it was for the best. The worst mistake a fantasy player can make is letting it get personal (Oh, do I ever know it!), and you avoided that. SB, any Yankee news? Astros resigned Biggio for next season, who's hoping to reach the 3000 hit mark! Otherwise, nothing yet, but there's supposedly big plans in the making...
