Yes! We have a winner! It is Kay. So, Sicilian Babe, if you're online it's your turn to post a clue. ... and if she's not online, would anyone else like to post a clue?

So sorry; I didn't realize it was that hard . Honest. In GF2, he only appears in the young Vito flashbacks. He is someone Vito meets in New York. All his dialogue is in Italian (I'm pretty sure), so you might have to pay attention to the subtitles to catch the reference, which is this: a couple of times, he implies to Vito (metaphorically) that he's somewhat of a bird in need of water.

That's the one. <-- Fanucci wetting his beakI bet you didn't even need those extra clues, plawrence. As for your clue... I'll guess Sonny, who bit Carlo on the knuckles during their fight.

Thank you don tomasso. If my guess to plawrence's clue is correct, I'll go ahead and post a new clue. I think this one is easy (but, then again, that's easy for me to say since I know the answer ). Here it is: He keeps more in his pockets than just his loose change.

Vito "politicians in his pocket" Corleone.
Although it may not have been a statement meant to be taken literally, it was insinuated that he may have at one time or another developed romantic liaisons with young ladies who derived enjoyment from becoming emotionally attached to their favorite sports teams.

Right-o, it is Rocco. That's two in a row for you dontomasso, without any extra hints . Now here's my guess for yours. I'm not sure I'm interpreting this correctly, but I'll say that Fredo expressed disappointment at not being able to take Anthony fishing. Connie was the one who requested this change of plans, and it was for Michael's benefit (so he could substitute Al Neri instead, although Connie didn't know that). Like I said, I'm not sure that I interpreted the clue correctly, so could you give us a hint? Is the answer two different people? Or is the answer to both questions ("at the request of?" and "for the benefit of?") the same person?

Yes, the answer is two different people. One made a request and the other would have benefitted from it.

So someone else requested Fredo to complain about something to Michael? And if Michael acted on that request it would benefit another person? Fredo complained about -- - being sent off to do errands
- taking care of "Mickey Mouse" nightclubs
- picking people up at the airport
- being stepped over as Don
Or, if I interpret it another way, someone requested that Fredo do something. Fredo complained about it. No attention was paid to him, so he did it anyway and it benefited someone else. Well, Fredo kind of made a semi-sarcastic remark when Michael told him to show Senator Geary and some other politicians a good time in Havana ("My specialty right?") So I'll say that Michael made the request and it mostly benefied Senator Geary.

One of those things listed was having to pick up people at the airport. Now that's something Fredo complained about, but I gather that the "errand" is the main subject here and not Fredo. Pick somebody up at the airport- at who's request? Well, in GF2 Mama mentioned that she sent (requested) a car to pick up Connie.
- for whose benefit? It would have been for Connie (and I guess Merle's) benefit
Is this the right interpretation?
