Two have always jumped out at me. Both lines are from the original "Godfather" with the first being between Michael and Carlo when he comes with his goons and he says, "You have to answer for Santino, Carlo." Just the way Pacino delivered the line, you knew it was going to end badly.
The second would be between Tom and Sal...
"Can you get me off the hook, Tom? For old times sake?" "Can't do it, Sally."
I love it!!
Never let anyone outside the family know what you're thinking again.

I think the coldest sentence/line in the Godfather Trilogy is: "I dont want anything to happen to him.....not while my mother is alive" When Micheal said this to Neri, was it within earshot of Fredo, or was it strictly between Mike and Neri? I can't make out if Fredo overheard this or not. Fredo being a terrified bunny at the funeral suggests he did but I have never been sure. If it was within Fredos earshot, did Micheal want Fredo to hear it?

also when michael says to fredo
FREDO you're nothing to me now you're not a brother, you're not a friend, I don't want to know you or what you do -- I don't want to see you at the hotels -- I don't want you near my house -- when you see our mother I want to know a day in advance, so I won't be there -- you understand.
