Both of my favorites don't find a place in the Golden Globes nominations  I hope Oscars do justice for these, especially The Fountain  . Anyone else other than RRA seen this? I saw it i thought the movie was amzaing and underrated

THE FOUNTAIN is not amazing, its amazingly ignored like Africa.
Really, while THE DEPARTED and UNITED 93 initially fought each other to be the #1 movie on my list for 2006....THE FOUNTAIN won ultimately.
Why? Because THE FOUNTAIN is the sort of film that only ambitious as hell autuers create, and mostly pull off.
Hell, THE FOUNTAIN reminds me of when Coppola was crazy and brilliant, before his nuttiness got the best of him, or for that matter, and this is blasphemous.....Kubrick(though his wackiness never made bad movies).
Pi and REQUIEM were really good movies from Darren Aronofsky, but THE FOUNTAIN....its the type of movie that creates declared geniuses of cinema.
