The ECW is such a mess at the moment. Hell, its on the verge, if not already, of simply being a dumping ground for failed Raw/Smackdown wrestlers.
Seriously, no one here thinks Test as a "muscled badass" is simply a failure?
As for the Simmons deal with "Damn!", come on Irishman. Thats the same problem that WWE has with comedy. If some silly comedy shit of theirs get good laughs, they run it to the ground, through the Earth, and into China.
Still, the shipping of the Spirit Squad to OVW(Ohio Valley Wrestling) was a nice touch.

This is scheduled to come out in February For WWE and RAW, 2006 can best be described as the “Year of the Degenerate.” Much to the chagrin of Mr. McMahon and his son Shane, as well as Superstars Edge, Randy Orton and more, Triple H and Shawn Michaels reformed sports-entertainment’s most irreverent and popular faction. DX ran roughshod over RAW throughout the year and The New and Improved D-Generation X will be a 3-disc release covering the reformation of the group that includes promos, matches and the chaos the duo of The Game and HBK caused Mr. McMahon. Well put, XD. That post is an example, of many, of how you're one of the more knowledgeble wrestling fans on these boards. I agree totally with your points.
Sad thing is, Paul Heyman himself was reluctant to climb aboard the revived ECW. As he said in an interview, he only returned because he wanted to put his input without the McMahon Machine fucking it all up too badly. The problem is, he kept being vetoed over and over by the WWE HQ. If anything, what we've seen since June is....WWE programming at its worst. The few times that ECW has come out, i.e. CM Punk, RVD(before that drug arrest disaster of his), etc., I doubt WWE can take credit for.
Heyman's "being sent home"(Irishman, dont you know your corporate schematic wordplay dictionary?!?!) was mostly because the recent ECW PPV event occured at a 5,000 seat arena, and only 60% capacity. The PPV buyout rate, rumors says, is among the lowest in WWE Corporate family history. DAMN.
Speaking of which, Lashley shouldn't be wearing the ECW title belt. Give it to CM Punk. The crowds are behind him. Wrestling fans dig his work. He's got charisma(and not a SMACKDOWN! has-been like Lashley).
I used to think "Big Show"(aka The Giant) was overrated, but then I noticed that quite terrible tall-man that SMACKDOWN! had over the summer, the Great Khali...whatever. In the Giant's prime at WCW, he was a credible towering menace.
Hell, I still remember when Kevin Nash "broke" the Giant's neck at that WCW PPV.

He's got charisma(and not a SMACKDOWN! has-been like Lashley). Don't you just love it that CM gets the biggest pop at the RAW before and then the biggest at SS, yet a week later they bury him at D2D. It's such a joke. Onto this weeks 3 hour RAW, do they even have 30 guys on RAW? I expect to see a few SD or EWC guys in the battle royal. And I wish they would not kill Carlito by putting him in this stupid fued with Big Vis. Also, I marked out when the WGTT came back. Them and Cryme Tyme should have some good matches. And does anyone else find it funny that the "B" show has been putting on better shows for the past couple months?

Thanks for the compliment, ronnie. I don't pretend to be a know-it-all when it comes to wrestling (or sports entertainment, for the "other" crowd), but I do pride myself in knowing a thing or two.
Speaking of CM Punk, I read somewhere that Heyman had initially decided to have Punk eliminated first...but it was in fact Vinnie Mac who made the decision to squash Punk in the match.
It doesn't matter how "over" a Superstar is in the business...if they don't have an established name...and they're in the ring with well-established Superstars...unless Vince decides to put you over...you're gonna get squashed.
It's my opinion that the WWE is wasting CM's talent on ECW. They oughta consider bringing him over to the big leagues (RAW or SD!) They could have him dominate the Cruiserweight division on SmackDown, which in turn would determine whether or not Punk can stay over with the fans...and be a serious contender in the long run.
Just a random thought...who, besides me, thinks the whole "K-Fed/Cena" thing is completely and utterly ridiculous? Nevermind...I'm assuming everybody.
Currently...SmackDown is my favorite show. SD's commentary has gotten MUCH better since Spaz...er...Tazz was replaced by JBL. JBL has a very old-school thing about him. I love his commentary style.
Also, Ken Kennedy should be given a run at the World Heavyweight Title, methinks.

Don't get me wrong, I've always been a HUGE mark for Tazz. In his prime in ECW, he was a force to be reckoned with. I'm fairly certain he knows a thousand different ways to suplex a man. Tazz's commentary skills aren't terrible...but it pains me to see what he's been reduced to. He's gone from a tough, no-nonsense wrestling machine to what he is now. Granted...I know he can't wrestling anymore on account of his neck. I guess my point is I'd much rather see him inside the ropes than calling the action from ring-side. Speaking of WWE and their use of Tajiri...hell...they did that with MOST of ECW's stars. Tazz's biggest claim to fame in the WWE is he was the first man to defeat Kurt Angle. Other than that...WWE dropped the ball with him (and Tajiri, AND Tommy Dreamer, AND Justin Credible, etc etc.)
