This is in fact a major flaw in an otherwise absolutely perfect movie (and book? I don't know if this is true for the book too, 'cause I haven't read it yet!

). There is very little room given to Michael's (and other characters' as well) private life. I would have liked very much his love feelings (both for Kay and for Apollonia) to be much more elaborated. We got so few love (and sex) scenes.
