Appreciate it XD.
Thing is, I seem to hve a mix of XD and Irishman's opinion of JBL.
Bradshaw was for years a solid mid/lower-card worker who had spent a good portion of his career stuck in the basement of the syndication program Shotgun Saturday Night.
But he had a pretty good run with Simmons(now relegated as a sad joke) forming the Acolytes. At least back when the WWE Tag Team divison meant something.
I never bought "JBL" as a world title contender, but its not like he wasn't watchable. He simply is like many other Smackdown! workers: Not even a kid would take them seriously as "players", if you get my drift.
As announcer, he's basically Jerry Lawler, just if Lawler was stoic, never emotional while working, and never hyperactive in the shilling of the corporate product.
Whats sad as well with the "fake" ECW is that Joey Styles is always having to prep up losers that now are "threats". He's too talented to be stuck with this shit.
BTW, I finally caught the much-hyped Angle/Samoan Joe brawl at the recent TNA PPV. Wow.
It lasted less than 15 minutes, but what a good fight, and while Angle was limited because the Olympic Champion was still recovering from his numerous painful injuries(plus a pill-popping addiction), this is a match that WWE hasn't displayed in a good long time.
Really, I'm watching TNA full-time now.
BTW, I dug how Angle blows Joe off after their fight. Angle the arrogant jock competitor. Good to see that he's back.

BTW, XDCX, have you caught TNA yet? I watch TNA every chance I get...which isn't often enough. The storylines could be better, and the show BEGS to be 2-hours long. But the in-ring action is second-to-none. Very high-impact...and the 6-sided is a very clever twist. My favorite wrestler from TNA has to be "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels. The guy is simply incredible.

From WWE.com During his match at Armageddon, Joey Mercury was rushed from the arena to a nearby hospital after one of the ladders smashed him in the face and caused his nose to pour blood.
After examination, it was announced that Mercury had suffered a broken nose, which required four stitches to the inside and 14 on the outside of the nose. According to doctors, Mercury's nasal passage is clear and he should be okay. They were afraid that Joey may have broken his frontal bone. That would have required plastic surgery and up to 2 months of recovery. Thankfully it was only a broken nose (albeit a rather BAD broken nose.)

Damon shows off WWE loyaltyAmong the WWE fans in attendance to celebrate the Lakeland Center’s first WWE event was New York Yankees center fielder Johnny Damon. Joined by his son Jackson, Damon was on hand for the SmackDown/ECW live event in Lakeland, Fla. and spoke to WWE.com. “I grew up watching Hulk Hogan, Junkyard Dog and Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka,” Damon admitted. “It’s amazing how much bigger and how much more athletic the Superstars are these days.” Whereas his father mentioned more vintage names, Jackson, who has been a WWE fan for more than two years, named Batista his favorite Superstar. Damon, who attended high school in Orlando and has been playing Major League Baseball since 1995, is finding himself to be a sports-entertainment fan all over again with Jackson’s passion for WWE. “I was a fan growing up, back in the day,” said Damon. “Now [Jackson] seems to memorize the names and the moves better than I do. It’s like a family tradition.” Tonight serves as the battlegrounds for the first SmackDown and ECW events of the year, adding up to a night that neither Johnny Damon nor the Lakeland Center may ever forget. Well he was really only brought in to start with angle, so there is really no point in having him anymore. Also I'm loving Burke, hopefully he gets a push.
Man, Vince sure did have a "cleaning" today. I think around 9 people were let go.

BTW, I saw John Cena's THE MARINE.
If you've seen a Michael Bay or Rob Cohen action movie in the last 10 years, then you've already seen the editing and over the top, "you got to be shitting me!" movie physics.
Except, imagine this being done with only $25 million, and John Cena lacking the charisma of the Rock, nor the action-credibility. Basically, its Nic Cage but with muscles, a white rapper gimmick, and no nervous ticks.
Still, you do get to see a proud Robert Patrick absolutely embarrased in having to do humiliating TERMINATOR jokes, and trying to make Cena, in vain, a credible adversary, since thats what actors playing villains do.

My only beef with The Marine is Cena didn't use his signature FU on anyone The Marine ** 1/2 (First Viewing) A group of diamond thieves on the run kidnap the wife of a recently discharged marine who goes on a chase through the South Carolinian wilderness to retrieve her. WWE films succeeds again in its second endeavor The Marine, although it wasn't superior to it's first release, See No Evil. This movie did for explosions what Assault on Precinct 13 did for head shots. I counted at least 13 explosions throughout the course of this movie, so nobody has any substance in their argument that the movie didn't have explosions or action. Also, it wasn't as well done as Crank but it was still an enjoyable action movie with some pretty modest humor. I am looking forward to (and might actually see, depending on how the trailer looks), WWE's third feature length film, The Condemned starring 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin due to be released on April 27th.

Steve Austin Confirmed For Lengthy WWE RAW Return SoonFrom WrestlingNewsWorld.com Credit: Various
Due to his new WWE Films project, "The Condemned" set for release in April, legendary WWE superstar "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will be making his highly anticipated return to WWE television shortly.
The current plan at this point is to integrate Austin back into some sort of regular storyline, as to get use out of him at WrestleMania 23, to co-promote with his movie project in April.
More details on this story as we receive them.Hopefully this is true (I say hopefully because a lot of times you can only take this kind of information with a grain of salt.) "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is my favorite Superstar of all time (along with Bret Hart). He doesn't even necessarily have to be in a wrestling role. Just having him on TV will make the RAW broadcast MUCH better. It'll be great having him back on television.
