I'm in a local gym (Freedom Fitness) daily. Like every gym, they have music playing constantly, but evidently they must subscribe to Sirius's equivalent of the "MTV 1985" channel. Every day: Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, VanHalen, Iron Maiden, Ozzie, Judas Priest, Billy Joel, Yngwe, Cheap Trick--every hair band my son used to listen to when he was an adolescent. We bought our first VCR around then, and I got cable mainly because MTV was showing the most creative video at that time. My son would come home from junior high or high school, put on MTV, record some particularly good video, then cue it up for me when I came home from work. Great bonding experience! The gym is helping me to relive some pearly moments.
