Anyone ever listen to the unplugged version of Clapton's Layla?
Its awesome. Although I don't dislike the unplugged version by any means, to me the original is far better. It's one of my all time favorites. I just can't help but crank up the sound and listen to the beautiful melody. TIS

I can't believe it's gonna friggin snow. I have a doctor's appt. for my daughter with a doctor about 25 miles away. It took me 6 weeks to get this stupid appt., so I hope it doesn't snow until about 4 in the afternoon. SB, I hope everything is ok with your daughter. 25 miles huh? I know how that is I have to drive an hour 1 way to take my son to one of his doctors. Not fun especially in bad weather.

I've never really been into Gibson or Eppiphone guitars. I'm a Fender guy. Fenders are just so beautiful, and wonderfully made. I mean, check this beauty out: It's like a Telecaster and a Fat-Strat made sweet love, and that came out. It's Fenders much more affordable answer to the grossly over-rated Les Paul. Fenders can just give you so many beautiful tones that are unbeatable. But, you've still got to have love for a original Stratocaster. Personally though, I'd love to get one of the 65 Mustang Reissues they've put back into production as of this year... They seem to be much more physically and technically accurate to the original than the Made-in-Japan reissues that they put out in the early 90s, the ones Kurt Cobain sported alot. And they're much higher quality than the Japanese ones. Fender blows Gibson out of the water, in my opinion. Although, I still wish I had the money to afford a Rickenbacker... Although, I think Rickenbacker makes better basses than guitars. Still beauties though.

Yeah man, fenders have beautiful tones.
I recently sold my Fender Precision Bass in order to afford an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray. I've wanted the Stingray for as long as I can remember.. since I was about 12 maybe. And don't get me wrong, it can make some really funky sounds, and it's perfect for my agressive-slap style. It probably has the nicest slap tone I've been able to get out of a bass, but the Fender Precision Bass just sounds great, and is so versatile. I still say that's the best bass I've played. So simple, but so genius. I think I'm going to try and save some cash and get another, because the tone is just so full of punch. I'd love to get the 62 reissue, but it just cost an ass-load (usually retails at about $1400)... So, I think I'm going to settle on the American Standard, which usually goes for about $999, but I think I could probably find one new for $750, which is a great deal for an American Fender.

I went to my grandaughter's Preschool musical Friday! Can you imagine about 200 preschoolers in one place? It was adorable. I walked by the area the children were sitting in before their performances. So cute...all antsy and restless. They all sang off-key, yelling every word, which you couldn't understand. So darn cute! Surprisingly, it was in an auditorium type room and it was totally packed. I'm sure I don't need to tell you that my grandaughter's performance was the best. TIS
