am jus watchin the godfather part 2 and I have no idea who michaels bodyguard is or where he came from does any1 know ? I mean the guard who always wears black n has grey hair , he gets shot when he tries to suffocate hyman roth in the hospital

Here is a question I never asked, and I don't remember if anyone else did either. Why Buscetta? Who is Busetta? Why not just take Neri?

I think that by the timeframe of GFII Neri had been elevated to a somewhat higher position than that of bodyguard. Also, while Michael was away from home he needed somebody who could protect him but would also be expendable if something were to happen...which of course, something did.

I think it also shows Mike's paranoia about what was going on after the attempted hit. Neri was close to Michael, but Mike didn't trust anyone after that hit -- so he had to hire someone outside of the family.
