I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

You going to keep reminding me? I hope my error results in him being a 50-50 player this season. \:p

I like the new "interactive" set up of the game, its much easier.

BTW if anyone wants Liriano he's on the trading block.....that red cross next to his name just means he's the red cross' pick of the year, and pay no attention to that "out-for-season" either, its just drama....

What does the numbers under "waiver" mean next to our team names?

I'm confused about a rule. If we have a pitcher that was a reliever, but is starting this season, how will it be scored until his position is changed? The rules state: "Pitchers need to make three starts to become eligible as a starter" Will he be scored as a RP for the 1st 3 starts, or not get any credit as a SP?

That's waiver order. If you're #1, and I'm #2, and we both pick the same player, you'd get him before me, etc.

I'm guessing that his stats will count the same under RP regardless -- you just won't be able to place him in the SP position until he's eligible for it...

Hmm. ok. ...BTW, I lucked out with my "mistake pick" of Bill Hall in the 7th round. Turns out he's playing CF this year, which I did not know. Since CF was what I was looking for, I actually got someone that was better than what was available. \:\)

Pitching stats will count wherever the guy is placed, SP or RP. If an RP makes a start, JG will count it towards the 162 game limit.

That means you can start Wainwright without hesitation. ;\)

Good pick, btw. \:\)

So wait, there is still 162 "Start" limit for pitchers? Just no limit on innings?

Damn I messed up!

That's right DMC. JG will manually add up the starts your entire pitching staff makes. Once you reach 162, he will ask you nicely to bench all your starters.

If you don't, he will come over to your house and manhandle you. \:p

I wish I would have figured that out BEFORE the draft....I loaded up on pitchers thinking it was unlimited

now about that mandhandling....

I thought the same as DMC... I thought that since there was unlimited innings pitched then I was going to start as many freakin' starters as I could.

JG, is there anyway we could decide sooner rather than later on whether or not we are going to abandon the 162 game limit? I want to win but I'd rather not kill myself trying to figure who's starting every single day if I don't have to.

The 162 game limit on SP's was put in before the draft. It better not be changed now.

NOTHING is changing now. Those who actually paid any attention before the draft should be fine. The others, well.... it's no one else's fault, is it? ;\) Use the waiver wire accordingly...

Out of the kindness of my heart, I offered to take some of the excess pitching off the hands of those that screwed up their drafts, but my offers of position players was rejected. Oh well. \:p

I appreciate the 'kindness' but I'm better off with Aaron Harang than Nick Swisher. But thanks for thinking of me Just Lou \:\)

Beggars can't be choosers. ;\)
Seriously, if you want to compete you're going to make some major moves. You have no backups at any position. You're going to have to unload 4 pitchers and find some position players via waivers that play more than one position.

Swisher isn't a scrub. He got me 576 points last year, and he's eligible for more than 1 position. Something he desperately needs. Harang was great last year, but pitches for a terrible team, and hadn't done shit before last season.
