Cuz my current PS is no worse than injury-prone Beckett, and, Figgins plays every position and is a speed demon... I'd take him any day (like I originally wanted)... ;\)

oh gotcha... his broken fingers will keep him from playing for a while though His only downside at this time. A.J. Burnett is also an injury risk but could be awesome if he manages to stay healthy.

You're already overloaded at SP, and you're trading for more?

You're right. It's TM trading for more pitching, when he already has too many. My mistake.

"when he already has too many."

hey you don't know how much I loved to read that. the fact is I don't want this guy in my team again.

can I go back and re-negotiate now that I know everybody wants him???

I think JG wanted him, but didn't realize his fingers were broken. He could end up like Coco Crisp last year and hardly get hits because of that lingering injury. Without hits, there's no steals... I'm taking a chance that he will be healthy again.

Both you guys still want that trade to go thru? One's on the DL for 5-6 Weeks, which I suppose makes the trade fairer - but let me know ASAP

I still want the trade to go through... and out of curiosity, it says 2 days for trades to take place. Why will the trade take effect on the 4th when we agreed to trade on Saturday the 31st? Not that it really matters because I can't use Figgins for another month or two, but I was just wondering...

I knew I shouldn't have drafted any Dodgers... stupid Derek Lowe. He's going to kill me all season, I just know it. And only because he's a Dodger...

It's funny how after only one day in fantasy baseball you can feel one of two things, either way ahead and the season is already in the bag, or you can feel like quitting. I just need to keep telling myself "It's a long friggin' season... it's a long friggin' season..."

Speaking of whining... I'm surprised Douche didn't chime in with Wheeler's 1-inning L/BS performance for -18 pts (while a benched SP woulda gotten him +19 points) \:D

Are you talking about your team page, after you click on your name in the standings? (#9 of 9, I might add while we're at it... \:D )

I have no problems, either... and I don't think there's any Java or anything on there...

Anyone interested in trading for Derek Lowe? I should really keep him, but it's killing me that I have a Dodger on my team. What am I supposed to do? Root for him so that I can get some fantasy points, even though the Dodgers win too? NO! DANGIT! NOOO! I have to hope he does bad regardless of my fantasy team. I can't take it!

So please, if any of you want to make an offer for him, I'm open...

I've been sick the last couple of days. I'm the first man in history to literally cough up a lung. Really, it's recorded. You can look it up.

I'm back now and I'm not so sure I want to look at the standings.

Trade Proposal

I haven't decided yet, but it's possible...

BL to trade:
Chone Figgins (LAA - 2B,3B,LF,CF) DL
Derek Lowe (LAD - SP)

JG to trade:
Matt Cain (SF - SP)

Thinking.....

Edit: I declined this offer to see where my current team lies...

If Figgins was healthy, I'd do it. Otherwise I probably wouldn't. I think Cain has much more upside than Lowe. Not an awful trade either way though.

The problem w/ 2-for-1 trades like this is that I'd have to give up someone else regardless... and I probably wouldn't hold on to Lowe anyway, so, in a sense I'd be giving up a decent (not great) SP and "a player to be named later" for someone on the DL...
