Trust me, I had a few great ones last year. My mistake this year was not trusting my instincts (and, mostly, not researching enough to be prepared, but that's besides the point - lol)...

I'm disappointed this year that, 1) I have way too many Yankees (jinx!) lol, and 2) I don't have multi-position players (which I specifically went after last year)...

You need multi-position? How about Freel for A-Rod? He plays almost every position, is the starting CF, and he's batting leadoff this year.

I admit that the only fantasy league's I have ever played in before this were salary cap/rotisserie style. So I am probably going to suck from the beginning. I've obviously already screwed up by not drafting mult-position backups, but my pitching also seems to be weak. I really wanted one of the top 5 pitchers but they went a lot faster than I expected. Rookie mistake.

I'll definitely learn as I go and next year I should be better educated in points style, live draft leagues.

You never know. You'll have players you think suck, and they'll turn out to be great. You'll also have players you expect greatness from, and you'll wind up waiving them by the summer. I made two major mistakes last year, and still won. I drafted A-Rod #1, and I waived Ryan Howard after a slow start to the season. (Believe it or not, I got Howard in something like the 11th round)

Didn't I end up with both of them? lol

I wanted Howard, cuz, (short story long) I used to watch him when he played for the Phillies' Single-A team next town over a couple years ago... but I totally trashed A-Rod's career once I got him. That's why I need to get rid of most of my NYY players! lol

Atkins is good - but A-Rod's proven solid over time. I'd even hesitate with the #1 pick (Soriano, in case you've forgotten)

In all seriousness, I think this is the first time I ever got the #1 player at a position from the previous season that late in the draft.

A good pick, no doubt. Tho the Yahoo "experts" told me to avoid Uggla at 2B (and Wang) -- yet I ended up with them; just gotta wait and see...

I think you got good value, getting Uggla in the 9th round. As for Wang, I can't believe a pitcher with numbers like his won 19 games.
