Yeah Beth, it's a great show... I don't know how they do it, but every episode ends with something super suspenseful, but even more so when they're gonna take a mid-season break or something. Yeah, Sarah's the doctor who helped them escape last season. The second half of season 2 is starting up again January 22. I wonder what happened to the black couple, too... and I don't remember the wife's name. I know the husband is C-note. But yeah, the brothers are gorgeous. SB, you mean the riot from 2000, with the burning cars and stuff? That was so crazy-- it's amazing what people will do when everyone around them is doing stupid stuff. They looked like they were all completely insane, and there were so many of them! Thousands, literally. I wasn't in town that year, I was in San Francisco for a couple weeks, and I got back the next day after the riot. Good thing I wasn't there... imagine trying to go to your car in that mess. Even worse, imagine finding your car pushed upside down by a crowd and set on fire. Thank God it's not usually like that after games... the most noise you'll hear is a bum playing drums on buckets and paint cans on the next street corner. He's actually pretty good. I went downtown like a week after the riot that year, and there was still so much trash and broken glass on the sides of the streets, and remains of burnt things, I don't know what. I don't know how long the cleanup took on that. People are so weird... like fine, we're all happy that they won, go have a drink with your friends. There's no need to turn the city upside down.

To be honest, I'm damn tired. It's only January and I'm so sick of the rain and the cold. I can't believe we're going to have MONTHS of this before the warmth. It's so depressing. And I really shouldn't even complain. It's been so mild and we've yet to have any snow. We've got about a inch of snow on Wednesday. Then a few weeks before Christmas we got about 5 inches. Even here it has been very mild hopefully it will stay that way. Last weekend we went to VA to see Becky and it was in the high '70's there. People were walking around in shorts. I really enjoyed the warm weather.

Happy 22nd Birthday to my daughter Nicole. (No, I'm not old enough to have a 22 year old daughter. At least that's what I tell myself). Tell your daughter happy birthday for me Beth. I know how you feel Beth. Becky is 23 and it doesn't seem possible that she is 23. Where is the time going?

Sorry I've been gone from here for so long, ladies! CUTE picture of baby Joshua, Bethie. Astros news... We're 0-4. Oh, good Astros news? "Astros to retire Bagwell's No. 5 Legend surprised with news during pregame ceremony" It was a difficult time when Bags first broke away from the club because some wished he could keep playing while others knew it was his time to go. His reason for leaving being injury made it much harder on him because I know he wanted to still be out on the field, physically able to do what he loved. I wished he could, but I also knew that, in the shape he was in, it would probably do more harm than good. I guess it's just a matter of knowing when your time is up, and it seems Bagwell has come to terms with that. He'll continue work with the club, through coaching and work in the front office, and he now has more time to spend with his family. He had an amazing career, and fans will always remember his accomplishments and the impact he had on the Astros. "Jeff Bagwell is one of the greatest players ever to wear an Astros uniform or the uniform of any Major League team," said McLane, who also presented Bagwell with the first base used at the 2005 World Series. "Jeff is a true leader who exemplifies what a Hall of Famer is all about both on and off the field.

Gina!!!! Isn't that nice?? Great Pic! But you always post the best.
Well, my Yankees aren't doing much better. They're 1-2. Everybody felt so much better about the pitching staff this year, and so far both Pettitte and Mussina could only last a few innings, and they were not good ones at that. I am NOT a happy camper, but at least we can watch them. Last night they got their butts kicked by Baltimore, and Mr. Babe turned to me and said, I waited 6 months for THIS???
Funny you mention retiring numbers! I read an article last month that the Yankees are having a hard time giving out numbers in spring training because they've retired a good many, and the guys aren't happy about having high numbers. When Jeter was asked how he got #2, he said it was just coincidence that he fit into the uniform of the guy who had it before him!!
