The Astros lost in 16 innings last night, leaving 18 on base in a game that lasted almost five hours. And they lost again today while I was at school, so that makes six straight.

I've been saying that to myself, too. My boys have gotten their butts handed to them lately. Everyone's calling for Joe Torre's head, which is ridiculous. First off, the man is only playing with what he's got. If the fans are going to be after someone, scream for Cashman. Second, he's had three SPs on the DL, with Wang just returning this week. Of course, having Pavano on the DL is nothing unusual, but Mussina and Wang have been missed big time.

As a matter of fact, as we speak they are losing 3-0 in the top of the 5th with nobody out.

I think I'm going to change that to Thank God it's only April!

KL - You should distract them with pictures. Derek Jeter pics make SB swoon (and I would use them to - that is, if she actually played ).

Bethie and her Vinny go way back. I don't know if she has a new obsession but if you can figure that out, you'll go a long way.

As for Gina, she wants her Willy. She needs her Willy. Give her some Willy and throw in a little Kyle Lohse on the side.

As for Mig, I think putting up a pic of Colonel Slade will do the trick.

Zia is distracted easily by European guys, preferable soccer or tennis players. She also has a thing for Euro basketball players - you just have to make sure they don't get much playing time and flopping is a must.
