In my other fantasy league, there were some chuckles in the room when I drafted Oliver Perez. I don't think they're laughing tonight.

There weren't any chuckles when I drafted BJ Ryan (-23)

I'm open to counter-offers \:\) Basically, Matt Cain, as much as I love the guy, won't win games because he's on a Giants teams that sucks offensively. Derek Lowe will get less strikeouts, but more wins with a better offense with the Dodgers. (It kills me to say that). Chone Figgins will only be on the DL for a bit before he's back and stealing bases. But like I said, Counter-offers are welcome.

Perez is going to win at least 15 games this year. He has the best stuff on the staff. He just needs to learn how to pitch. In 2004 when he was 23 years old, he made 30 starts for an awful Pirates team. He went 12-10 with a 2.98 ERA and 239 K's in 196 innings. In 2005 he was plagued by injuries. In 2006 he started the season as the Pirates #1 pitcher, but his mechanics were screwed up and he lost confidence after getting bombed game after game. After this kid threw the game of his life in game 7 of the NLCS, I felt very confident that he could be a top pitcher for the Mets this year if he has his head on straight and listens to Peterson.

So who put in for Pudge knowing damn well I'd get him, costing me my #2 waiver spot? \:p

lol, I shouldnt have dropped him. I should have kept my faith in Pudge.

Also, am willing to let go of either Beltran or Granderson for a 2b or SP/RP.

I'm probably annoying everyone with this, but I really want to get rid of Derek Lowe because I can't stand seeing a Dodger do good on my team. So if you are interested in him make me an offer. I'm interested in Beltran if we can work something out.

I don't think Lowe is going to draw much interest, especially the way he's pitching.

He's never won an opening game as a Dodger. His pitched well his second start.

Get used to that... The Giants have zero offense.

The problem with Lowe is, he can't strike anybody out. In both of Lowe's starts, he's walked more batters than he struck out. Not good in a fantasy league.

True he doesn't strike out hardly anybody, but he still got me 21 points his last start. No Santana, but still good.

21 points is good, but he did it against a team that has scored a grand total of 14 runs in 7 games.

You just had to rub it in didn't you

It's alright, I don't expect to get much interest in Derek Lowe. If I have to root for a Dodger in order to beat you all I'll do that. Although my goal at this point is just to not come in last place.

In all seriousness, you probably should drop him anyway. (And no, I'm not saying that so I can pick him up. I have zero interest in him) ;\) You have 9 starting pitchers on your rosters. That's WAY too many. You also only have 4 active RP on your roster, so you're losing points there everyday too. You also don't have a 2nd catcher which is going to cost you in the end.

I hope these stats aren't official. Check out the math on this team's pitching totals:

The old DMC would have made comments about "pitchers" "catchers" and getting someone in the "end" but the NEW DMC would just like the standings updated i.e. like JG did on the first day \:p

Nah... why? Cuz of Farnsworth's -21? or Perez' -13? or leaving Weeks on the bench (+13)?
-3 total for the day is pretty impressive. Unlike AP and DB who got 100+ boring pts... \:D

The only one I can defend is leaving Weeks on the bench because the weather was supposed to be real bad in Florida last night. That's Ok. My team doesn't start gelling until I make around my 30th waiver move. ;\)

Gellin' like Magellan. (Worst commercial reference ever!) You're only a few points behind me as I write this, so I guess my team is slightly better than sucks..... slightly.
