I think that Jack has had it now. He's at the point that he feels he's sacrificed enough of his own life, jeopardized the lives of those he loves or loved, and sacraficed his personal relationships, to protect the country. He's paid a steep price to secure the country. It's almost as if he now feels that this request made by him to rescue Audrey is owed to him. He now feels that anything he needs he has coming to him by his government. And I don't know that I disagree wih him at all. Bad thing is that the V.P. now has something to use against President Palmer.
