I was just trying to see how crazy it could get. I think that at this time I don't want to trade Santana. but don't be afraid to ask later in the year.

I just think this whole idea of manually keeping track of stats is silly. If the millions of people playing fantasy baseball in various leagues thought that 162 max games for six pitchers was the way to go then it would be an option. We should have stuck with the max innings pitched. It makes more sense. But, seeing as how I'm probably screwed anyway this year, I'll go ahead and shut up about it. Max innings pitched makes NO more sense. In real life, you have unpredictable extra innings. And also in real life, you have a predictable max of 162 (rarely, 163) games in a season. In real life, you'd have a roster of the same SP's all year long, on the same team, baring injury/performance replacements, etc. But they're all on the same team, so you're getting 162 starts regardless. In fantasy, your pitchers aren't on the same team - so obviously you need a little extra leeway. That's what the 6th SP spot is for. I'm not sure how you're not understanding this. And to clarify, again, there is no "manual" keeping track of stats. I'm just -- come the last month of the season -- making sure no one goes beyond the (in real life) 162 starts for the season. Yahoo should have that built in, but sadly they don't for some reason. I requested it. But until then, there's no better way -- IMO -- to keep track of SP's. This was discussed before the draft, by the way....

It's amazing how "fantasy" baseball is taken so serious in terms of "real life". I understand JG that this was discussed before the season started. I just didn't know that until now. In "real life" There is normally a 5 sp rotation that plays through the entire season of 162 games. You add the sixth sp in "fantasy" baseball and you might as well keep that spot empty, because the other "real life" 5 will use up those 162 starts. Seriously, I'm tired discussing this and it's making this fantasy baseball not fun anymore and it's giving me a headache. I'm sorry I brought it up.

You don't need to use the 6th spot - but I would. That's why it's there. Cuz we don't have complete starting rosters for any one team. We have various starters from many teams. And unlike real life, we can bench starters with bad matchups w/o worrying about days of rest, etc. This is my 11th year doing this - if you have a better way for next year, please feel free... (I'm not kidding - really!) BTW - if fantasy sports didn't give you a headache, you wouldn't be doing it right.

JG, too bad you picked up Pudge. You should probably go ahead and just drop him again I was thinking about it... hell, why not? No reason to see what he did tonight... lol

Second night in a row... Tonight, it was Juan Pierre (7) vs Craig Monroe (1) ... one day I'll make the correct choice! (Last night, of course, it was most of my roster.)

That +25 on DMC's bench has gotta hurt... But skimming StatTracker it seems most of use got burned tonight. For instance, DB... -20 for RP Grienke, but Snell (+25) on bench Yup... happens to me almost daily! but nice to know it's not just me!
