Joshua had his surgery Wednesday. The surgery went fine, but obviously the little guy is still in pain. They had to attach his manhood to his bladder. I don't even want to think how painful that is, and to be going through it at 11 months. They were going to send him home by Monday, but last night he starting fussing and is still in so much pain. My niece gets married next Saturday, and Joshua will probably be just getting out of the hospital. So his mom might not be able to go to the wedding.

Just remember the little guy in your prayers.

I certainly will, Beth. Poor baby. The only good thing is that he'll have no memory of any of this. Give him a kiss from The Ladies when you see him, OK??

Here are some pics from my niece's Ravens theme wedding held tonight. Everyone in the wedding party, as well as majority of the guests wore jerseys. My nephew, her cousin, is ordained to officiate at weddings, and he wore a referee's outfit, complete with whistle and a yellow flag in case there were any drinking violations..haha.

Here she is walking down the aisle, he in his Artie Donovan jersey. Which is appropriate since Artie Donovan owned the country club it was held at. (See "what we look like" thread).

Here they are saying their vows with their cheer leading squad. As you can see, the girls carried pom poms and the guys carried footballs.

When the bride and groom were being announced into the reception they broke through this banner, just like you'll see players bust through at the beginning of a game. I took a picture of them going through it, but it's so dark and blurry you can't see anything.

Man, I'm gonna look at this tomorrow, or is that today, :), and either laugh my ass off or quit the board.

I've had about a dozen beers, and 2 ameretta sours, how about you. (And I know I totally fucked up the spelling of ameretta, but I just drink it, I don't look at the spelling). \:\)

Hope you laugh your ass off rather than quit the board! \:D

Had 4 pints with dinner, then bar-hopped the boardwalk - 5 bars total - we're probably about even! \:D

But unfortunately it's time for bed now - got family chit tomorrow...

When my niece walked down the aisle of course they played "Here comes the bride". But when the members of the wedding party walked down they played the theme music they play at the beginning of football games. My nephew's speech actually had a football theme. I can't remember everything he said, but something to the affect of Welcome to the wedding and sports bar. And said if anyone here has any objections to these two being married the bar will be closed to you all night. . After they kissed the girls all shook their pom poms. I was gonna yell "Touchdown", but feared my mom would slap me..haha. She was miffed that I drank my beer from a bottle and not a glass. She said ladies don't drink from a bottle. I just said it's a good thing I ain't no lady then. \:\)

For the traditional bride and groom last dance of the night they had everyone on the floor dancing to the them of The Jeffersons, "Well we're moving on up, to the Eastside". That was actually the loose up song. We ended the night with a room full of drunks dancing to "Shout".

During their first dance my nephew blew his whistle and threw his yellow flag from his pocket because there wasn't enough hand movement.

In honor of my sister being a HUUUUGE Godfather fan he was joking maybe he should put cotton balls in his mouth and start out, "I'm so glad you've come here today, on the day of my cousin's wedding"..haha. Then we were all getting goofy and started saying he should do it like the Princess Bride wedding cereomony.

"Mawwage".........

That sounds like it was so much fun, Bethie. What a great idea for a wedding! For such true fans, it must've been perfect. I'll start the planning for my Astros one - never too early!

It was a real blast. Everyone there is still remarking how much fun it was. When it came time for the Groom/Mother dance the groom played a prank and had them play that dance floor song, Tootsie Roll...haha.

The butterfly? Uh-uh, that's old!
Let me see the Tootsie Roll!

Cotton candy, sweetie go, let me see the Tootsie Roll!

Tootsie Roll! (8x)
To the left! (2x) To the right! (2x)
To the front! (2x) To the back! (2x)
Slide! (8x)
To the left! (2x) To the right! (2x)
To the front! (2x) To the back! (2x)
Dip, baby, dip! (4x)

Cotton candy, sweetie, go,
Let me see the Tootsie Roll!

His mom was a trooper though and danced right along with him. Then he got sentimental and played the correct song, which I've never heard of.

Beth,

My hubby's cousin did that a few years ago when he got married but Jeremy and Char wore steeler jerseys.

One of the groomsmen is a huge Steelers fan and hates The Ravens. But he was tricked into being in the wedding before he knew he'd have to wear Ray Lewis' jersey..haha. He wore it during the ceremony, but changed into his Steelers jersey for the reception. There were about 4 other people with Steelers jersey, and a couple of Washington Redskins ones.

Now that's a classy reception. ;\) Wearing black (and gold) is always appropriate.

There of course had to be a little Godfather reference somewhere in this wedding. My niece's husband has 3 sets of step parents. His mom remarried once, and his dad I think is on the 3rd or 4th wedding. Well both parents, and 2 sets of step parents were at the wedding. When they were taking family pictures he wanted all sets of parents in the picture. His one step father wasn't outside, and they stopped taking the picture until they found him. As in the scene with Michael and Connie's wedding picture, my sister and her husband go, "It's Jim. We can't take the picture without Jim". No one else there got the reference. My sister was like, "Where's Beth. She's the only one here who'd get this". I was too busy inside eating crab puffs.

Man, SB, I saw on ESPN this morning where a player stole home against The Yankees. That's really strange. All I could picture was Gina thinking, "The Jet stole home. The Jet stole home".
