SC, Rachel Ray is always going on and on about using Extra Virgin Olive Oil, upon which she has cleverly bestowed the acronym "EVOO". It enters a whole new realm of annoying. "Don't forget the EVOO!"

The EVOO does annoy me because she just says what it is right afterwards, kind of defeats the purpose of using an acronym for it lol

She wouldn't be at the TOP of the list but she would still be on it. Trish is still clearly in the lead there......Giada is definitely on the list too, but its really not fair to compare regular woman to Italian/Sicilian ones though

I'll give her credit for her success though. You don't need to be talented to make alot of money in any chosen field in this day and age.

Rachel is one smart cookie. She has two shows on the cooking channel, a talk show on network TV, and is doing the Dunkin Donuts commercials now. This from someone who was basically an unknown. She made the right connections and now she is cashing in on her 15 minutes of fame. Good for her.

She deserves credit for creating her "brand" - love her or hate her. What's really amazing is that she's really a country girl at heart - Lake George if I'm not mistaken. In a matter of just a few years she's taken to our great city like she was born here.

I did know she has never held a restaurant job. I'm not too sure what that has to do with kitchen experience. My father has never worked in a restaurant, and he's the best cook I know.

I'm curious why you think she has limited talent, though. Is it the dishes she makes? She never claimed to be a chef. She calls herself a cook.

I'm not trying to sound condescending or anything. I'm just interested in how you came to your conclusions on Rachael Ray.

I think the fact that she's not a professional chef makes her more accessible to everyone. I can watch Emeril or any of the pros on tv, but I don't come away with the feeling that I can make my dish look like theirs just because they are the "pros". With Rachel she's just someone cooking in her kitchen, like you and me, so that makes me feel like maybe I'll try her recipes.

I hesitate to post this because I hate to sound like I'm throwing my success into anyone's face but I'm speaking as someone who grew up in the restaurant field, who has owned or operated at least 5 restaurants and 4 pizzerias. I'm speaking solely as a restauranteur when I say that she couldn't work the pantry in one of my kitchens.

I'm sure your dad's a fine cook and I do give Rachael her props for her mega success. As far as being talented in the kitchen, I just don't see it. Again, as you say, you're speaking from the point of view of the person sitting on the couch at home. I'm not, so maybe it's not fair of me to offer an opinion.

Although someone needs to buy the woman a wig, Lidia is my favorite TV cook. At least she looks like she eats!

Liv Tyler is Hulk's Betty Ross!

Liv Tyler will star opposite Ed Norton in Marvel Studios' The Incredible Hulk, signing on to play Betty Ross, the longtime love interest of Dr. Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Louis Leterrier is directing the movie, which is being produced by Avi Arad, Gale Anne Hurd and Kevin Feige.

Ross, a classic "Hulk" character from the comic book's beginning in 1962, is Banner's fellow scientist and an ally in his quest to rid him of his lurking monster deep inside. The movie will unfold with Ross estranged from Banner (Norton), but with the pursuit of the Hulk heating up and Banner on the run trying to cure his condition, Ross finds herself swept back into his life.

Jennifer Connelly played the character in the 2003 Hulk movie directed by Ang Lee.

Filming on the new "Hulk" is slated to begin in the summer in Toronto. Universal Pictures is distributing.

The film is being executive produced by Jim Van Wyck, David Maisel, Arad and Stan Lee.
