I have to drive to Trenton on friday morning. On the way home maybe I'll check out Old Man Rafferty's.

If DMC can find his ID maybe he'll meet me for a cold one.

I'm a retired investor living on a pension. I wish to return to Trenton as a return Guinea.

Yes. I'll probably drive to VA and pick up miss Becky. I really don't want her driving by herself. This way I can spend a few extra days with her.

Wow. How many total miles does that come out to going from your house - to Becky's - and then to New Jersey?

Well according to mapquest-

My house to Newport News, VA- 472.59 miles about 8 hours
Newport News,VA to Hyatt Regency- 346.58 miles about 6 1/2 hours

I will have to see what she wants to do of course. Remember I did this 2 years ago.

My hubby wants to go to Montana AGAIN and do some camping on his property out there. His mom and dad are coming with us and one of his aunts. I would rather go where you are going.

Gas should be around $4.00 per gallon by then! \:o

At 1600+ total miles you'll be spending about $320 in gas + tolls!

You may be better off flying.

What, so I have to pay that kind of money in gas and tolls? \:o \:p

Seriously though, barring any unforeseen natural disasters, by the time August rolls around gas prices should begin to drop.

Out of curiosity, have you looked into flying as compared to driving?

Mig,

If I may butt in \:p DC, has a point. You might "try" Priceline or Travelocity, Expedia. A couple years ago I went to the Name Your Own Price on Priceline when I went to Michigan. At the time, it was an average $350/450 r/t. For the heck of it, I asked for $200. They didn't have a $200 but I got one for around 275, which I thought was good. They'll guarantee well-known airlines and no overnight flights, but you won't know the time of day you depart/arrive until after you purchase. I was pretty open on the time of day, and it worked out well. Anyway, it's worth checking, and it beats the hell out of a long ass drive.

When you fly into Newark, you are flying into Newark Airport and do not have any interaction with the city of Newark itself. You can either pick up a cab right in the airport, or can be picked up. There is no need to go into the city of Newark itself.

Mig, you know damn well if you were not able to get a cab or a bus from the airport, I'd pick you up, or at the very least help you make arrangements to get to the hotel.

Hey, I have a better idea! You can hire the cab driver that drove you back from La Veranda to the hotel when we were in Philly!

You know it's quite possible that the hotel has a shuttle service.

That's a tough one, Miggy! Your 5th reunion, vs a bunch of gangster bums... hmm... \:D

...then again, I'll only be at one of those events... so it should be obvious...! \:D ;\)

(Really, tho - do whichever you want; you can see us any/every year, but probably not those people... I won't cry too much... )

Nope not a tough one for me. I'd rather visit a bunch of gangster bumbs than visit with the people I graduated with any day of the week.

My 25th year reunion is this year also. It's in November, or so I've heard. I've been off the mailing list for some time.

My 25th is this year too. It would have been this month since I graduated in May, but who knows. I went to my 5 year reunion and that's it. There's nothing about high school I care to remember.
