What, so I have to pay that kind of money in gas and tolls? \:o \:p

Seriously though, barring any unforeseen natural disasters, by the time August rolls around gas prices should begin to drop.

Out of curiosity, have you looked into flying as compared to driving?

Mig,

If I may butt in \:p DC, has a point. You might "try" Priceline or Travelocity, Expedia. A couple years ago I went to the Name Your Own Price on Priceline when I went to Michigan. At the time, it was an average $350/450 r/t. For the heck of it, I asked for $200. They didn't have a $200 but I got one for around 275, which I thought was good. They'll guarantee well-known airlines and no overnight flights, but you won't know the time of day you depart/arrive until after you purchase. I was pretty open on the time of day, and it worked out well. Anyway, it's worth checking, and it beats the hell out of a long ass drive.
