I like the Robert Plant avatar you have, Ice. GinaItalianGirl has a good one of Jimmy Page. One of the most popular mid-1980s MTV videos: Home Sweet Home In Motley's biography, The Dirt, Nikki Sixx said that he was doing so much heroin that the road crew actually stood off camera during the shooting of this video to make sure he didn't fall off. Pathetic. Wildside Same Ol' Situation

I'm in a huge Primus mood right now, so, you can expect oodles of Primus and Les Claypool videos in the next few days. Primus - Those Damned Blue Collar Tweakers (Live - Woodstock 1994)Les Claypool just has to be one of the best, most original, unique, inspirational, and influential bass players around.

"Somebody told me when the bomb hits, everybody in a two mile radius will be instantly sublimated, but if you lay face down on the ground for some time, avoiding the residual ripples of heat, you might survive, permanently fucked up and twisted like you're always underwater refracted. But if you do go gas, there's nothing you can do if the air that was once you is mingled and mashed with the kicked up molecules of the enemy's former body. Big-kid-tested, motherf--ker approved."

More Primus, for the time being... Primus - Groundhogs Day (Live Hallucino-Genetics DVD)I love how under two minutes in, they go to the camera being operated from the mosh-pit, and by the looks of the camera movement, he's probably getting the shit beat out of him.

Aeroplasty - Habitat for Humanity's Battle of the Bands '0601 Funky Tuesday/If You Wanna Be My Lover02 Bells Under Fire03 Crabman04 Lucky Ducky05 Promethius/Groove Step06 Promethius Reprise07 Mr. Waldron's SongTrack five is probably the best, in my opinion.

LLC-Thnx for showing us your band, I love it. Promethius/Groove Step was my favorite as well, the last solo in particular (Prom Reprise) when your lead man started strumming his strings like a mad man! And speaking of mad men, you could could conquer China w/ that Bass around your neck. I also especially liked Funky Tuesday along w/ Crab Man(the intro is sweet), very cool stuff. You guys are awesome, no bullsh*t. Thanks, Ice... I'm glad you enjoyed them. It's funny you mention the reprise, because I remember that was the low point in the show... We had come in all funky coming back from that 10 minute jam we did on Groove Step, and we were all a little bit off. Jake, the guitarist, actually leans into the microphone at some point, and jokingly says to me, "It's all falling apart right now." But, I think my favorite part of the show is during Groove Step, when Jake begins, impromptu, chanting "Hey" into the microphone, and the crowd follows him. One of the coolest moments of my amateur music career; a room of 100 or more people chanting along with my band. That was a good show. It's almost been a year, and I still say that was one of our best shows, if not the best, out of all the shows we've played over the past three two or three years. I remember that was the week I had gotten my new bass and amp, seen in the video. Cost me a hefty bit.

The White Stripes performances from this past weeks Jools Holland (excellent UK music show, for anyone unfamiliar) have surfaced on the internet, and are quite good. They played two songs off the upcoming album, and finished it off with "My Doorbell" a single off the last album... Which is a seriously cool performance, as Jools Holland himself is playing the piano part. Wow, Foreigner. They were one of those bands in the late 70s and early 80s that had some big, big hits. I consider them in the same class as groups like Journey and Loverboy. I've never really listened extensively to those type bands. I know the 3 or 4 huge hits that they each had, though. I USUALLY don't post bands that don't ROCK, and you know what I mean by ROCK. I post AcDc, GNR, SRV, Zeppelin, Skynyrd, etc. But JUKEBOX HERO is a rockin little number in its own right.
