Catcher isn't the one I'd lock in, actually -- they normally don't play day games after night games, so that's at least 2x/week they won't play. (Yeah, I haven't been using Redman or Assmus lately )

If you're gonna lock someone in, it better be someone cheap - who's performing well. Well enough that 1-2 days/week it doesn't matter if he doesn't play.

But Plaw was right in that you can always find *someone* at lower salaries to give you points. And while I agree, I also still believe that sometimes holding on to someone (in the long run, at a very low salary) can help as well - since you can afford more for other positions, while simply sucking-up a zero once/week.

Anyway, not sure why I'm giving out some of my strategy advice in public.
