I weigh 125 pounds, give or take five pounds. Also note I am a vegetarian. That being said, I think my record is at half-a-deuce a week.
Thanks for the info though, Irish. I really need some extra storage. I have a single bookshelf for my DVD's, and it's nicely sized... I fit roughly 300 DVD's on it, with cases of varying size, but I've run out of room, and I've been stack excess DVD's randomly for a while, whilst on the market for a new rack.

Irish, is your collection alphabetical, like mine? There really is no other way to do it. Although, I've contemplated putting them in chronological order, or alphabetically by director and sub-organizing each director's films chronologically. Although, I don't know if I'd ever work myself past good old alphabetical order. And it'd sure be hard as hell for my less film-savvy friends to figure out.

Thing is, do you go alphabetically by original title or English translation only? Should I put A bout de souffle under "B" (for Breathless) or first on the shelf? (I missed an accent out on the "A" 'cos I'm a lazy twat.)
I go by original title. I use the original title as well. The only thing that fucks me up is when they don't put the original title on the case and it looks out of place on my shelf. Thank god "Science" is just "Science in French, or I'd probably have it out for Michel Gondry.

I'm the same with Friends. I've never seen the show and probably never will. If you said you didn't like Seinfeld, I was going to say you were the first person I know of who has told me they didn't like the show. Seriously, I don't think I've ever had someone tell me they didn't like the show. I know a few people who dislike the show, on the basis that Jerry Seinfeld isn't all that funny himself. I like the show, and it's probably one of the very few sitcoms I will tolerate (sitcoms just so happen to be the televised equivalent to boy bands and bubble gum pop) but I can't fucking stand Jerry Seinfeld's stand up comedy. He doesn't really make jokes or punchlines... Just really obvious observations... You know... "What's the deal with women and perfume? It's like you spray it in the air, walk through it, and you smell good!" ...Yeah. I really wish I could say that I made that one up.

Purely as standup, he's not that great but the show is. Jerry, Jason Alexander, Michael Richards, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Estelle Harris, Jerry Stiller and numerous others were fantastic. Truly great writing!

Furthermore, I hate it when DVD case spines form a bigger picture, like the Hitchcock Collection series. I put those under "H" for Hitchcock Collection, but since I don't own all of them, it's still odd-looking. And, of course, now they've started re-issuing them with new covers. My Rear Window and Vertigo sleeves are nothing like The Birds and Rope.

My Rear Window and Vertigo sleeves are nothing like The Birds and Rope. Yeah, I fucking hate that too. Luckily, my Aunt works at NBC in resources, and I got all of the Hitchcock DVDs for free at once, due to their merger with Universal. What's going to kill me is when DVD's start to die out, and blu-ray becomes the norm... The cases are shaped a little differently than that of standard DVD. It'll just look awkward, mixing them all in on one stand.
