I FINALLYmade my reservations. ('bout time huh?) Did we ever get an official or unofficial head count?

Unfortunately...I've found myself in a situation where as of right now, I have to play it by ear. I wish I could say there's a 100% chance that I'll be there, but I'd be lying. There's just no way of telling right now.

Of course, I'll do my best to make it, and I'll keep everyone informed of my status.

No problems at all SB. They were very helpful and nice on the phone. Time is going by so fast. Not to much longer now.

Just found something out about that weekend. Turns out that my daughter's softball team is currently in first place. The worse that we could finish right now is in second place so we are a lock to make the playoffs. If we win in the playoffs we are eligible to play in a tournament in August. Well guess what weekend that tournament is taking place? You got it. So as of right now, I have to see what happens.

That would be horrible!! I certainly hope that you can make it!!

So in other words you're hoping that my daughter's team loses and does not make the tournament.

You know, right after I hit the Submit button, I thought to myself, Geez, I hope that doesn't sound like I want the team to lose!!

How about, in some parallel universe, I want her team to win, and you to still be able to come to the weekend. I'm the one who is on the line for 10 rooms!!!

I don't understand how you are on the hook for ten rooms. I understand that you called and got us a discount rate as a group, but I am confused as to how you will be on the hook if we don't book all ten rooms. Surely they can't charge you for it as they have a 48 hour cancellation policy anyway.

All I can see them doing is NOT discounting the rooms and charging regular price if we don't book all ten rooms.

Am I missing something that I may not be aware of?

I guess that's one disadvantage if planning so far ahead of time. You never know within a year's time if your plans/schedule could change. On the other hand, haven't we all experienced a spare of the moment/unplanned trip of some kind that runs smoothly with everything coming together as though it was planned for a year?

Not to say we could ever do an actual "spare of the moment" meet with the BB considering we all live in different areas, but hey, you never know.

Those spur of the moment trips are fun TIS. As for Becky, she will be working for some insurance company. She didn't tell me the name. She gets weekends off so she can come to the BB shindig.
